It would probably be the highest rated of all time, but yet to be determined if it is the best. It just depends on your criteria for what is best. I'm not sure if any of the players will be at the level of say Wall, Cousins, Davis, Fox, or Monk when they signed with us. Do you judge best by high school rankings or what they do in college and beyond? Regardless, I hope they lead us to a championship and I will remember them as one of the best ever.

I've seen a lot of posters compare this class unfavorably with the 13 class (Randle, Twins and Young), but it all comes down to personalities and drive.

The 17 class is extremely talented and if their personalities mesh and they are motivated, they could finish the job that 14 came up just short on.

Maybe this class will be the perfect blend of talent, that's what it's going to take to compete at a high level every night in CBB.

I worry about SEC road games, we know how tough every one of those games will be. Packed houses, tee shirt nights and refs that feed off the crowd. This is where veteran leadership comes in handy, but maybe we have some dudes that have enough dog in em to overcome that.

Can't wait, it's definitely going to be interesting, a little frustrating at times, but definitely interesting.

If Diallo comes back & we get Bamba, it might be our 2nd best class ever, behind only next years ( 2018 ) class which has the potential to be out of this world great. Bagley, Bol, Smart, Quickley, ect....

I think you have to judge it primarily on their rankings coming out of high school. If you base it on what they actually do in college then you can ask which recruiting class was the most successful. For example, the 2004 Florida class that had Corey Brewer (31), Al Horford (36), Joakim Noah (75), Taurean Green (105), and a couple of low rated players, was rated as a top 10 class. Kentucky's class that year was #1 with Joe Crawford (9), Randolph Morris (10), Rajon Rondo (25), and Ramel Bradley (91). We signed the highest rated class but Florida's was obviously more successful.

I still think next years team has the potential to be Cal's best team yet. It may be early to say that but "potentially" we could be unreal.

If this class ends up winning it all then you have to say it's the best of all time. It will be the freshmen doing just about all the serious lifting to get there.

Agreed. How in the world Rondo was 25 in that class is beyond me. Watched Rondo and Telfair both play and thought Rondo was the better player then and most definitely is the better player now. Telfair ranked ahead of Rondo was absurd. To answer the OPs question, if we get Bamba and Diallo sticks around, it's probably the best ever at UK. Probably ever, nationally.

If we got Bamba and Diallo was to return, it would be hard to top this class based on potential. If Diallo stays in the draft it would still be one of the all time best classes. It all depends on if this talented group of young men are able to mesh and play together, with a purpose.

Probably Cal's 4th or 5th best class.

That '11 class produced a NPOY, another 1st Team AA (Wiltjer) a 2nd Team AA (MKG) and Teague.

That '14 class wasn't as heavily regarded but look at it now- Towns, Booker, Ulis and Lyles.

Then you have '09 with Wall, Boogie and Bledsoe.

The '13 class was overrated but still led us to one title game and anchored a F4 nearly undefeated season.

This is the perfect class of Kentucky to show that talent that cannot be made into a team will not be a successful team. Rondo and Tubby, never worked well together, Crawford was ready to go home by Christmas in his first year, Morris was never motivated like he could have been. And Ramel did the best he could.
