Our Lads is pretty sketchy at times, especially here on the brink of the new season.Interesting they have Walker at 3rd string after hearing the buzz around him.
Lots of manufactured handwringing and furrowing of brows?Today, Monday. UK'll bring in the crack KY media and feed them a free lunch so they can write crappy stories.
Kentucky aint ranked #20 in Ap for nothin, we are LOADED!Interesting they have Walker at 3rd string after hearing the buzz around him.
Can’t wait. I don’t think I realized Brown was that skinny
Surprised that Wright isn’t in the two deep, and I hope Horsey is just a little dinged up. Starting two freshman wide receivers is going to be interesting

Yup, rankings are proving true on them & orher frosh in the 2 deepBrown and Key must be The Truth.
It's really a shame that one of the Dingle brothers can't cross-train as a long snapper. They could potentially hike it to our backup punter, Berry. Maybe next year it'll happen. The younger Dingle will still be with us, and Berry could move to first string. Make it happen, Stoops!... and what about the Dingle Bros. logged as "or"? Fun...
i meant La’Velle not Jordan, but I guess Smoke stepped up?Wright's a starter, being held out due to the suspension BS.
That’s right….forgot that he was caught up in that

Gotcha! Smoke, while not a SEC feature back, is experienced, good at picking up the blitz and a pretty good receiver. I think those two areas of RB play may hold back some young guys. That’s right….forgot that he was caught up in that

As long as there are no fumbles, out PR production can’t get worse.Looks like Stoops is wanting a dynamic playmaker on PR/KR with
PR - Tayvion Robinson/Barion Brown
KR - Barion Brown & Jutahn McClain
Looking forward to seeing if that portion of this team can be more dangerous/explosive than the past few years.
Jeff P. said on the Chris Beasmore podcast that Walker could be the next Art Still. Still is the best Kentucky TE ever. He is on the Two deep on the depth chart I downloaded from the Kentucky website.Interesting they have Walker at 3rd string after hearing the buzz around him.
When did Mister Cobble ever play Jack lol.Wild to think about the evolution of CFB offenses through the prism of UK's depth charts. Starting in 2013, there was the standard 4-3. Then in 2014 through the next couple years there was a standard 3-4 two deep published on Mondays.
The last few years it's been a 3-4 with the nickel listed along with the other four DBs to show a 12 man two-deep to reflect the reality of how much five DBs have to play these days. This year, they don't even list the JACK outside linebacker that was played by Mister Cobble, Jason Hatcher, Denzil Ware, Boogie Watson, and Jordan Wright.
I don't think that means UK is full-time transition to 3-3-5 although White has mentioned it in the past. Probably a recognition that NB is going to play a lot more snaps than the old JACK position going forward.
I think Smoke might shine.Smoke ran for 450 yards at 5.1 yards per carry. Not surprised or worried that he's starting. Unfortunately, he became one of those players that everyone had to create a thread about if he had a bad play.
Tried to pull up a two deep depth chart but due to link rot I couldn't find much from that season that wasn't preseason to confirm. I may be confusing Cobble with Jabari Johnson. I have this memory of a Hatcher's back-up in the South Carolina and Louisville games being this huge dude that was only there for run support to the boundary. When did Mister Cobble ever play Jack lol.

I thought he was Za'Darius' backup in '14.That was definitely Cobble as Cobble was a NG at 6'0 & about 330-340 lbs.
You may also be thinking of Farrington Huegenin b/c IIRC he played some at that hybrid DE position, and he was listed at 6'4 282.
