When coach says"I can fix this..."

Why did he let it break?
Exactly. You don't let it get to that point. Sure, sometimes crap happens. A star quarterback getting injured or maybe a huge graduating class the year before. But none of that was the case. It was a total systems failure and it was due to a lack of effort by the coaching staff.

Stoops tried to leave for Texas A&M, “broke” the team, complained about working too much and getting no help, told fans to “pony up”, said he was going to try to get motivated… and now “I can fix this”. No sir, I’m not buying it, he’s done here!

The bottom line for me is, if I could hand Stoops the most talented team in the country, I think he'd find a way to lose 2-4 games with it. I don't trust that fixing NIL is the answer to make all things better with Stoops. He's not going to change who he is as a coach, which is a conservative, defensive, run the ball, control the clock coach. He's never going to have more than an average passing attack no matter who the OCs, QBs, WRs or TEs are.

He also no longer has the benefit of playing in a weak SEC East. UGA has been a beast, UT is back near the top again, Florida is getting better, USCjr and Mizzou have passed UK, hell, even Vandy is better. Anyone that thinks Stoops will do better than 7-5 going forward even with a pretty talented roster is kidding themselves. It makes me sick that we are stuck with this guy. Thanks Mitch!
