Our defense is actually pretty good. When passive, well you see the results. Not sure why Stoops is such so scared to play aggressively when you defense is playing their butts off.

It just seems like the longer the distance on 3rd down, the worse the defense plays. It's maddening.
Knew we were gonna lose when we rushed 3 on 3rd and 18. We sacked him 6 times at least. Guy made bad decisions under pressure all game even when we didn’t get to him. And we rush 3…. So sick of this shit.
The difference in the game was when Clemson started pinning their ears back on defense and we lost our energy on our side and got careful. They caused turnovers and we laid back on our heels and watched them pick us apart.
Never for the life understand why coaches feel like 3rd and long is the time lay back in zone coverage. The longer the yardage the more pressure you should bring so they dont have time for the longer routes to develop or to look the field over. Yet we do it EVERY TIME.
Losers play NOT TO LOSE. Stoops is a guy who should be coaching somewhere in IOWA but really wants to coach somewhere in TEXAS but finds himself coaching in KENTUCKY, trying not to LOSE and just finished the season on an impressive losing streak, from 5-0 to 7-6. That's not impressive but it's sure as hell telling.
How many sacks and tfl did we have today when the defense was playing with their hair on fire! That soft prevent cost us the game plain and simple!
Stoops apologist are avoiding the board today but they will be back in due time to remind you how far he has brought UK football and how we would slide back into the abyss without him. Would love nothing more to see him in a bar and buy him a drink then call him a pussy to his face.
Got a good chuckle from that. The funny thing is that a better argument could be made that it's those types of fans who keep this program eternally struggling. Those stupid arguments enable coaches like Stoops and AD's like Barnhart. Conference affiliation, Facilities, Fanbase ... it's all here in spades. What we're missing is winning personnel in the AD's office and coaching staff. Those two groups are self-serving and they themselves makes the same argument that the fanbase should be thankful to be mediocre and to strive to be better is foolish. It is without respect that I would tell them both to resign ... which they won't because they're in control of the money train and they will forever piss down our collective leg and tell us all it's raining. CM Newton, UK AD at the time, did the same thing years ago when the UK President Roselle, ordered him, to offer Rick Pitino, after he claimed to have offered the job to Pitino, when he actually did not. Newton, Larry Ivey and that crew were well entrenched in the UK Athletic money train before Roselle flipped the script on them all and changed course. That needs to happen again with football. Those clowns will continue to lie to all of us while padding their bank accounts. It's all enough to piss a guy off.

You got that right. Give them 3 days and they will be telling us what a great year we had. This loss will sting for a long time.
