What's everyone's opinion on Kentucky's NIL legislation.

From the standpoint of competing with schools in other states, there are some elements that will help UK keep pace with the programs that schools like Ohio State just started putting in place.

If passed, UK will now have the ability to act as a facilitator and help interested third parties secure NIL deals with student athletes. Whether UK can do that well remains to be seen, but it at least affords them additional leeway to try.
 
It’s does not matter what UK does unless it’s national. Players will just flee to states less regulatory
 
Know the law we need on nil? None. We don't need one. NCAA covers the issue by allowing nil. The executive order restricts it in ways that heavily favor schools. Now the legislature want to tinker further.

Don't pass a law. Revoke the eo. Voila we have the same open market as a handful of other leading states. Of course that doesn't allow political pandering and photo ops, so it'll just end up a disaster.
