If we do strike out on any of the other highly rated players?? It is possible. I think as of right now we are only favored to land Mulder. Personally I think we will have a pretty rough year if this comes to be true. Guards will be our strongest position, but Ulis's size will hurt him if he has to become the MAN IMO. Yes he looked good this year because defenses had to pay attention to all the size down under. Briscoe Matthews Skal are all good players but early on highly ranked Freshmen are no better than 3rd or 4th year players that they are up against. I like the bounce of Lee but can we really depend on him if we need 10 pts 10 rebounds EVERY night??? Poythress if he comes back. Will he play hard or will he worry about his knee?? Hawkins and Willis can play but will they be consistent contributors??? We lost 7 contributors to the NBA.... I think next year has the makings of Nerlens Noel year IMO. When you have to rely on Freshmen every night like we did 2 years ago there will be alot of ???????? After going 38-1 is Big Blue Nation going to be patient enough if we don't get a Diallo or an Ingram or a Maker and have to settle with what we have??

The intelligent fans will be...the dumb portion of the fanbase won't be.

They think it is all about them, and anything short of a national title each year is a failure by Coach Cal. Nevermind the fact UK has won just 4 in the past 55 years. People on here do not want to hear that, they want to party like it is 1948-1958. Those days are never coming back, but people on here want to believe they should. In reality in the real world all you can ask is to be in contention most years for a Elite 8/Final Four bid, and outside of an injury to Noel season Cal has done that.

If we don't get any of our targets offense is going to be painful to watch.Alex doesn't belong at the 3 at all,Marcus just doesn't seem like he will be a big scorer,Tyler seems more like a great passer than scorer.Skal and Briscoe are for real but we might have to depend on Willis,Hawkins and Matthews for scoring and that worries me.

I will think....

Let's see what they look like in 6 months and cheer for them like we always do.

I would think we had a very average team and hope that some players could up their game to make a Sweet 16 run.We have had 2 final fours in a row so a down year wouldn't bother me that much.

Ok...When you recruit a team consisting of nba or D League players and most games are not apples to apples(according to the experts) what would you expect a lot of fans to think?...Cal has been to 4 FF in 6 years with a national championship and I don't even think his most talented team even made the FF...It is what it is

If we get no one else I think it's time for Cal to suggest to the borderline draft guys to NOT leave so quick.

7 is too many...8 is ridiculous. No way to replace that many at the end of a season

I think you just typed a sentence that included the phrase "4FF in 6 years with a title" - and you meant it as a criticism?....

Pretty much this.

The title or bust people kill me because by their standards, UK has 8 successful years and 104 failures.

The sane portion of UK fans want to be in the conversation 9/10 times.

Of course it is possible. No different from any other year. There are never any guarantees in recruiting. But I don't get all the panic today. Calipari is a proven recruiter. We won't strike out.

More like 8 since 1939.

No one counts anything before the NCAA tourney began that year.

The notion that UK has 8 titles in 112 years is not accurate.

Technically it's 4 in the past 5 years.

2011, 2012, 2014, 2015

People need to understand we have the #1 class as of right now.I think we will have a very good team

Mojocat... What I am trying to say is when you recruit like Calipari does and speak the way he does sometimes...i.e. "we don't play college basketball we are college basketball"..."I don't substitute I send the new tanks"...then you're setting yourself up for certain segments of the fans and media To think that nobody,
and I mean nobody, should beat us...the old saying goes...don't talk to talk if you can't walk the walk...plus Cal made the statement last week that he thinks all seven of these guys will be on an NBA rosters next year. .. I am one of those who does not believe that for three of these guys

The #1 class for now, but #1 or not, the main point is that we are trading 7 pro's for 3 pro's, it is more of a depth issue.

If we're going by that, we have 8 titles in 76 years for an average of one title every 9.5 years, so the notion of title or bust is still idiotic because we have 8 successful years and 68 failures.

I understand what some people are saying about being spoiled, but as fan you should always want your team to win the championship. The whole thing about us having 8 successful years and 69 failures, so we should expect a title every 9.5 years bothers me. As a person/team/program you should alwAys be looking to improve.Yes, we have gone to 4 out of 5 final fours, but why not try to improve on that. No one wants to go through another year like 2012-2013. That was just painful to watch.

Some will be furious, some will understand, but not always are we going to win the title, be in the final four, land the top class. As we've saw in 2013, when you lose 90% of your everything, and you don't land as equal talent as what left you're probably not going to be as good. But, im with some, I believe when you get there time and time again, you better start winning one. I suffered through Tubby, and the drunken cowboy after Pitino, so year in and out if we get to that last weekend I'm ecstatic.
