He doesn't have to publicly announce anything. However, he (or UK) does have to notify the NCAA of his plans if he wants to return.
If he does nothing he CANNOT return to UK.
Opposite, I believe. He entered the draft but didn't hire an agent. Last day to get out of the draft, to my knowledge.

Technically he's IN the draft right now so he would have to do SOMETHING or else he is NBA bound.
Not rocket science. He is currently in the draft, he has to WITHDRAWAL by 11:59 or he remains in the draft.

Rick should have done this too. Caused him alot of issues by staying in.
rick could have made 1,000 children by 11:59.
He may be so ticked at some of our fanbase that he wants us to sweat it out for as long as it can go. He doesn't have to do anything. He has already declared and some of our fans were pretty nasty on twitter when he declared. It would serve us right picking on a kid.
Always risky business waiting to the last second to pull out.
He can fire off his shots quickly, but you're forgetting to factor in reloading time.

I was optimistic but now starting to think that he is staying in the draft. I don't think he will announce but is staying in.
One way or the other he will decide tonight. He's in the draft now and has to actively remove his name or he doesn't have that choice. Now he might not make an announcement but he will decide tonight.

Uhhhh okay. Thousands of opinions being made over the last few days on Diallo but you single out mine.
A couple of reasons. First, it has nothing to do with the subject of the thread. Second, it has no basis other than an opinion. Sorry to single you out.
At this late stage, I for real think he should stay in school for his own best interest.
If you aren't sure you are in the first round then you probably aren't especially by the time half the teams take weirdo foreigners many of which they either don't expect to ever play or expect it to be years in the future that aren't accounted for all the time.
I'm guessing he is trying to scare up a few solid "Ullis" deals where even if he falls to the 2nd he has a solid guarantee for 1st round money but I think that is probably dicey as well.
He is going to have show his work or take a 2nd round deal more than likely.
After midnight,he gonna let it all hang out,after midnight we gonna know what it's all about,he gonna cause talk and suspicion after midnight
Whatever the protocol, if he stays in the draft and doesn't announce it would be the biggest slap in the face to BBN by a "player" that I can ever remember. Would be totally classless to the program.
