Too old and not leaving. He’ll be retiring soon and letting his son takeover
Good coach although I don’t necessarily love his style of play. Biggest issue with him is age. He’ll turn 69 early in the upcoming season, so he’s not a long-term solution, and I don’t really want a coach who’s likely looking at 5 years or less from the moment we hire him.

I simply asked other people’s opinion of Sampson. He’s obviously not going to be our next coach but was curious why he wasn’t being mentioned more. I honestly don’t know much about him. I think he should've played 5 players at the ****ing 3pt line facing the inbound passer up 3 with 1.2 secs left instead of his moronic plan to guard man to man and allow a bounce pass from baseline out of bounds to top of the key 3pt line to tie a 2nd RD game up. Somehow this situationally moronic coot earned COY honors. Good lord.
Then in response to losing to Duke says "It wasn't a fair fight once we lost Jamal Shead".
How about working on some offensive skill and plays? How about not shitting on every other coach in America for not being "as tough". These Jud Heathcote disciples (he and Izzo) like to do all out combat practices and then bitch and whine when they have players banged up and get beat by teams who can score/make shots.
