Just watched part of the game and Walker took more plays off than he played hard.

Sore back, there was pregame talk that he wouldn't play. Think back to spring when UK lost 3 DL to injury, now Walker/Silver both dinged. A position thought to be deep has gone down the tubes due to injury.

Walker gets all the pub but silver is the key to everything. Just like last year, when silver went down our run d collapsed. Other teams arent as stupid as us on o, so they will keep running it. That causes us to bring safeties down which exposes us in the pass game especially with our top 2 man cbs out.

The sec season is an insane grind. Thats what i point out about other programs, players, or coaches in other conferences. Ya they might do well vs one sec team in one game, but on top of the talent its the insane grind that makes a difference.

I look for Walker to sit out rest of the year and get healthy for the draft. Why should he risk injury for a team that won’t play in a bowl game. Protect your health young man.

I don't disagree. Only argument would be that showing out vs. Texas' O-Line could help him.

Or hurt him if he isn’t healthy. He really has nothing to gain unless he is healthy and wants to play. Then let him play or get some time in to the young guys.

UK does Walker a disservice by playing so many snaps.....

1. Ox can handle DE/DT snaps
2. Saunders is solid DE/DT
3. Rybka is DE all the way and good
4. Silver is a solid NG
5. Rotate in Gilbert at NG....he's a big kid and get him ready for it
6. Deonne does not need to play as many snaps as he does.....We could rotate out some of DT/NG bodies and play more snaps to Fearby and JJ as edge rushers....we tend to stick with our 3 big DL a bit more often than needed and seem to leave Walker too many snaps.

Just a slight disagreement with DL rotation
