Call me Captain Obvious, but we've got SERIOUS problems guys. At this point, I don't know that they can be fixed....

Just a down year right now. Problem is people won't allow that on here. Cal is a victim of his own success at UK. People think he should win every game just based on stupid recruiting rankings. Just like in 2012-2013...these frosh do not look like they have the stuff to help lead the team. That said, I think this team will probably be more like 2013-2014, seed wise, but without the magical title game run.
You'll probably get blasted by some others for saying negative stuff after the first half but it's obvious we have a long way to go to be a very good team. Just might not be there for us this year and we'll have to deal with that as fans. Not giving up on them at all yet but we do have a lot of stuff to work on yet.
This team needs to shoot 45% to have a chance. The defense is not good enough to have a great impact. I hate to say this could be a repeat of 13.
Im with you. We are slightly above average. Briscoe cannot shoot and Murray is really selfish and Skal is a huge whiff. Next year cannot get year soon enough.
Yeah we've got a long way to go...so what? Did anyone expect different? It's like people expect these teams to just gel from the get go and it takes time/patience for that to happen. Sheesh I swear we have a good size portion of our fanbase who are just a bunch of babies who can't handle a little adversity or have any semblance of patience about this team or any other team for that matter. Just a spoiled group. Get a grip.

I believe it starts with changing up the starters, putting Lee in the paint and Use Skal as a high post screen. Stop trying to make him a 5. Play Willis more and less guards. These guards are struggling ....
Humphries needs to play in physical games like this..Period..You can't play a dribble drive offense when 4 defenders are standing in the lane waiting for you to drive into them.. This is ridiculous and we are falling right into their game plan.
After next weekend and back to back losses UK will be ranked 20ish.

Never dreamed we would struggle so much offensively with Ulis at the PG. It's not necessarily his fault because the team has so many holes right now, but just not something I saw coming.
- Ulis and Murray have to be shooters. They just have to be.
- We need DirectTV Poythress instead of Cable Poythress, and we need him all the time.
- Seems like Skal is what he is at this point.
- We need work at every position defensively.
Those things happen, and then maybe we are a top 10 team. Until then, latter part of Top 25 seems more reasonable.

Yeah, I agree, but Cal doesn't feel that he has to get them to the NBA by next spring so he sticks with the so-called "one and dones" no matter how awful they play.
They are not a team. They are a group of young men who are either afraid, want showboat or foul stupidly. What a horrible half. Skal HAS to sit. He is the first man on the court to run to the other end when the ball goes up. Maybe they will not drive because they know Green or Ayres will call them for an offensive foul, so they shoot the ball from wherever.

Down year or not I'm gona support the team like I did some of the crappy Tubby teams, Coach G teams, etc. I was not around for the down years under Joe B. or some of the ones under Rupp later on his career, but people that just quit watching because they think UK "ain't gonna win a natty title for the fanbase!" make me cring.e
Like I said after UCLA exposed us...staying close or even beating us doesn't require a complex strategy.
The more we try to force Skal to be a true post, the more we're going to struggle. That right there leaves us playing 4-on-5 every game.

Kinda what I think. I sure don't like what I am seeing, but scorers just don't forget how to score. It is one of those things, where they are not taking good shots and they just need to learn where those are, in the offense. Until that happens, we are pretty average.
We don't shoot well enough to come from behind and we don't play defense well enough to stay ahead. This team is going to lose a minimum of 6 SEC games and lose double digit games this year.

Getting run by a .500 team. Much of this falls on Cal. He put this squad together and he's made them afraid of their own shadow.
