West Virginia fired AD, Brown next?

Brown got a big win at home Sat vs a slumping Oklahoma team, might have bought him some time. Doubt they dump him with no AD in place.

BTW, with OCs on everybody's mind...Brown's OC is Graham Harrell, Leach QB at Texas Tech and one time OC at the real USC prior to being fired there last year.

Food for thought: Sonny Dykes was a disaster at Cal. Now look at what he’s doing at TCU.

If Brown gets the axe (and I’m pretty sure he will) I wouldn’t automatically assume he’ll never be successful at another P5 job. Sometimes, for a variety of reasons, things just don’t work out and it has zero to do with actual ability.

Bobby Bowden would beg to differ...actually at WVU as well...got run out of town to FSU, and the rest is history...

Dykes was a candidate at UK when we hired Stoops

As soon as the announcement was made yesterday on the firing of the West Virginia AD, Brown got up from his chair, took a massive dump (maybe in his pants), then started updating the resume and called the wife and told her to find the movie "Dead Man Walking" so he could watch it after practice and see if he can take any lessons.

I don't think he got run out of town. He was 9-3 and won the Peach Bowl his last year at WVU.

The year before he had a losing season.

At one point they burned him in effigy in front of his children. He talked about this in a documentary on his life. He said he left for FSU because “once they turn on you you don’t owe them a darn thing “

He was 42-26 at WV with 5 winning seasons in 6 years….if they actually “turned on” BB, they deserve perpetual mediocrity.
