Yes I know early January and a third of the schedule but still a lot will be revealed. We are going into a hornets nest. LSU cannot afford a home loss. They need a big win, wild crowd etc....hard for us to win regardless because we have Kentucky on our shirts. A loss is not the end of the world but I want to see us fight and challenge as well as showing no fear. If we do those things and keep it respectable I would be ok even with a loss. If we go play scared, do not fight, get pushed around and blown out then I will be worried. If we do the right things we have a chance to win.....but it will be a tough outing...Cal tried to prepare us in his post game Sat if you listened closely to his comments.

I look forward to watching their demeanor too. I have no doubt they will find it tough but I think the Cat is about to come out in some of these players. Camp Cal and some other posts from other UK coaches make me feel a lot better about this teams chances. Yes every game might be a war but in a war I like the ammo this team has. I think a back and forth game may bring out the killer instinct I know this team has. I just look forward to the fight.

The Cat's need to show the same kind of intensity, especially on the defensive end we saw against Ole Miss. If they come out flat it could get ugly quick. Hopefully "camp Cal" has helped them realize that's going to be required every time out especially on the road in the SEC. I'm hoping it's what we learn tonight about this team.

We really have not played very well away from Rupp other than in the Duke game. I hope we show we can play well on the road.

The trouble with young players is that they often play more to the level of their competition. Thankfully we have Ullis, who refuses to let that mentality creep in. He wants to crush people.

You are putting too much weight into a single game , improvement is gradual and not a sudden moment because it's a higher profile game . Any team can play poorly for a single game but it shouldn't define them , you can also hit everything you throw up and again it's not an indicator of where you are . Win or lose I want to see the same intensity we had against Ole Miss .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't LSU still out on break? Will the stands be full? Will our Big Blue Mist invade?

LSU doesn't defend all that much, Skal could have a game that rebuilds some confidence. If we don't take advantage of the fact that they are content to try and outscore their opponents rather than play defense then it could be a long night.

It could be a fun game to watch, if we try to force a half court game we will be in trouble.

Win or lose, we probably aren't as good or as bad as we will look. Don't get too high if we win or too low if we lose. This team is clearly a work in progress, but the upside is tremendous.

I think LSU is a tad overrated. UK will win it with their defense as they have have most of their games. It will be interesting who guards Simmons.

I think it will be Lee or Poythress. What do ya think?

I think we are going down. What you wish to draw from the loss is in the eye of the beholder I guess . I hope I'm wrong . Just don't see us winning tonight .

Very nervous about this game as well - veeeeeeeerrry nervous. Cats CAN win, have the ability to - but so many factors going into this.
