I wouldn't be surprised to see Auburn, IIlinois, and Colorado State to all go down tonight.

Bama has hit 6 threes already. I thought we were the only team that others brought their A game against. 🙄

Rivalry game.
Bama is one of the few SEC teams for whom UK isn't the biggest game. Biggest game for Bama is always Auburn and vice versa.

I try to avoid his posts but he seemingly hates to see any UK fan post anything but negativity. Isn’t that a troll??
He seemed to disagree with Auburn and Alabama being each other's arch rival. Just made no sense so troll is as good an explanation as any.

Alabama gets dominated at UT over the weekend...now dominating Auburn in the first half. SEC road games are no joke.
I A foul is a foul regardless where it's played

Ref's should not allow teams to bump and hack at home (no foul) vs on the road-(foul.)
It's not just ky games.
It happens all the time. I assure you it's intentional, and will continue..

So if I'm cal, having good depth. I would run a man to man press, mixing in 1-2-2 zone press. With hard traps on side lines corners ECT. Bump grind hack attack. Force other teams to play much faster then they are comfortable.. We may give up some open layups, but we do that in our half court defense anyway. So you try to creat turnovers, disrupt there offense, to make up the difference....

Yep, we all would do that. However, Cal can’t coach our kids to run these type of defenses. Either that or he just refuses to. Every team we’ve had with great depth, none of them have pressed. He ALWAYS allows the opposition to dictate the tempo. Also, he isn’t gonna play a zone. Hell, he won’t even zone OOB plays. He’s fvcking terrible.

No he was scoffing at your thought that most SEC teams live to beat UK and that you were making that excuse for us losing to SC.
I see he gave you a like so I guess you were right. He read stuff into my post that was not there.

I was just pointing out that this was one of the two biggest games of the year for those teams.

That UK is the biggest game for most SEC teams(in basketball) is a generally known fact beyond
debate. But it's never an excuse for any loss since it's been that way for decades. I'd guess Texas is a
bigger team for A&M and UK is the biggest game for all the rest. Yes, I'm saying we're probably a bigger
game for Ole Miss and Miss. State since they both usually suck and we're a bigger game for UT than Vandy because Vandy normally also sucks.

Hope you parlayed all 3 on the ML. I think they will all lose as well.
No, I'm not betting but I wish I had set up an account somewhere because I've been on about 2/3 of my picks this year.
If I would ever bet a game involving UK(I would not...emotional bias), I would have taken the points versus USCjr; I thought it would be close and that a loss was possible but I was very surprised by a blowout.

One for one so far and Illinois slightly behind 2nd half.

I'm two for two now.
So I'll probably lose the 3rd one because, and I'm sure this will come as a shock
to MANY of you...I am not always right.
But that's only because, to quote famous sports philsopher Yogi Bear "predictions are hard, especially
when they're about the future".

The Cal cultists will use Auburn's loss to make themselves feel better about our debacle against a so-so South Carolina team.

Drink that Kool-Aid down, boys!

You've seen and responded to plenty of my posts. Do you really think my thread ever was meant to have anything to do with our last loss and I threw in a couple picks from other conferences as camouflage?

My comment was not directed at you.

Sorry, somebody earlier suggested I was trying use the Auburn/Alabama pick to detract from UK's abysmal performance against USCjr and I guess I thought you were implying something similar.

Nobody serious can compare those two road losses. Auburn fought like hell in that game to have a chance to win it in the final mminutes. We gave up and got punked.

Also, Alabama is better than USC.

also it was only rivalry game for them, not UK so, even though it's two top 10 losses, it's still comparing apples and something more different from apples than oranges

You can't compare the losses, especially because it's a rivalry game, but you also shouldn't form any opinions about any one team based on a single game. The USC game was a disaster, but we've seen this team play great basketball this year.

And having a disaster on the road in conference isn't uncommon in the top 10 this year. 40% of the top 10 right now has a loss of 15 or more points to an unranked conference team on the road. UConn lost by 15 to Seton Hall. Purdue lost by 16 at Nebraska. Arizona lost by 18 at Stanford. Not to mention Kansas losing to 6-11 WVU.

Cal will never change his ways…defensively

I get it. You seem like an optimistic guy, and I can relate with trying to look on the bright side. Those are all valid points, and I hope that game was just a bad night.

However, you have to be realistic and see that we've seen this movie before. We've been burned too many times, and I saw some very concerning things (or lack of them) last night that are similar to Cal teams of the past few years. Too similar to dismiss as coincidence when the same coach is on the sidelines.

It's like we have battered wife syndrome with Cal.

"It'll be different this time."
"He's changed, I swear!"
"It was just one bad night. That's not who he is."

I, for one, will be hoping for the best but expecting the worst at this point.
