Ok so Courtney Love and Greg Hart, the two transfers from Nebraska really don't count towards this recruiting class however they do count towards the overall 85 scholarships. So even though UK's board shows 23 signees, we really only have 21 signees. With that said I've been told that UK may not be done yet. UK could still add more players to this class. They'll be looking at late qualifiers and transfers to fill those last spots. This class, thus far today, is ranked #34 so it shot up from #50 but could technically raise up more. Ross would be a good addition but he won't be eligible until 2016 class however.
I don't know how people's feelings are but more than one coach said today, off camera, thank god for decommits because of the length and the athletic ability that UK added with this class so far and they'll continue to look for.
Sihiem King is a smallish RB but the dude had like 20 TDs in the playoffs alone and was the class 6A player of the year in Georgia, so he's small in stature but big in play making ability.
Josh Allen had 22 sacks in his first year playing defense and lead the state of New Jersey in sacks. He got lost in the shuffle with his moving around and he's a gem that his high school coach talks highly about but also the coaching staff was celebrating once they got him.... he's big time.
Javon Provitt was rated the #1 DT in the state of Ohio by some but didn't get the offers and attention that others did because of questions on if he would qualify or not. Well because of UK's situation with the decommits they had a spot for him when he finally got qualified late late in the process. So that was nothing but the football gods shinning down on us.
Will Jackson and Derrick Beity are big additions to this class. They may not have the offers that some had but I'll tell you that the coaching staff had both these guys listed above Montrell Custis on there board and Custis was once a Bama flip but now signed with Ole Miss. Coaches feel like Jackson and Beity are better and with more length, which is what they want.
I said all that to say, I hope the people that were panicking have now calmed down. After the decommits UK Coaches pretty much righted the ship in less than 2 weeks.
