We just got blown out by johnny jones

Yep..totally embarrassing. No excuse for this performance, but I'm afraid we will see plenty more before the year is over.

Somewhere behind their bench is a phone. Mark Few is on the other end as a one-time paid consultant.

and simmons was average

an all around disaster, I'm checked out on this season for the foreseeable future. They roped be back in with the UL and Ole Miss games, it's clear now they are the same team

There aren't really any unlikeable players on this team. But as basketball players, I don't like any of them but ulis.

They play like this is a ****ing game of checkers at cracker barrell while you're waiting to be seated. I hope none of them are back next year except ulis, hawkins and willis.

Everybody talking about how piss poor coach he is. And he beat the shit out of Cal.
Yeah - because a one game sample size totally puts a guy whose most frequent post season result is missing the NIT (with tons of talent) in the same conversation as one whose most frequent result is Final Fours.

With Lee and Poythress totally crushed by foul trouble all night thanks to Simmons and Quarterman, Cal had no choice but to play Skal big minutes, and unfortunately, no player in the history of basketball has a weaker grip on the ball than that poor, skinny Haitian child. So he turned it over a zillion times, they were in bonus+ halfway through the halves thanks to the aforementioned foul situations, and LSU got a bunch of lucky bounces on wild-ass shots, which took what should've been a consistent 3-4 point lead for them (because they did play better) and made it a consistent 10-14 point lead.

The superbowl thing that we've seen so many times happened - shocking that a team with four players who would be the star on about 85% of D1 teams (and another who would be one of the top 2-3 on any of them), would get the win in front of a raucous crowd at home.

Obviously, the margin is concerning, but a bunch of stuff didn't go our way tonight. It was a perfect storm of suckitude.

The main thing is that we're not deep enough to avoid playing Skal - which means that Skal has to become a completely different person for us to have any chance at anything. He gives up the ball every time literally he touches it, and it's not for lack of trying.

Yeah...the sky is falling. We got beat handily on the road last night. I think I'll just stay home and lay in bed and wonder why it all went down like this.

It's early. This isn't last year's team. It may very well be one of those seasons. IT'S JUST A GAME.

Are any of you really surprised about this loss?

I totally expected it and honestly I'd have literally been shocked if we would have went down there and won that game.

The only thing that I was REALLY disappointed about was how Lee and Poythress looked like freshmen who weren't ready or accustomed to conference road games.

They both looked scared to death like they'd never played in front of a hostile crowd before.

As far as Jones goes, I thought that he had a great game plan and had his team ready for the game.

LSU is starting to come together and could make a run in the SEC this year.

With all that being said, they'll lose their next game.

Mouse, what was his game plan? Serious question. I watched part of the lsu/vandy game and didn't notice he did anything different last night. Simmons brings the ball down, looks for a lane, either drives or kicks out. This maybe be premature on my part, cause I havn't seen him play enough, but the 2 games I've seen him play, he is very good at getting his teammates involved. On the other hand, he only played about half a game last night and in addition, maybe his teammates were sick of hearing the comparing to bron bron and magic and decided they would light it up....which they did. FCC.

Jones definitely had his team ready to play but they weren't trying to do too much.

The LSU players took what we GAVE them and Simmons didn't try to do it all himself.

LSU also did a great job of keeping Murray from getting the ball when he started to get hot in the 2nd half.

Jones has to get some credit.

That's embarrassing! I am sick over this - at least a close loss, on the road could be excused! I hate losing to "Football schools" in basketball!!!

So after three losses you are out of here.......good riddance!

Well maybe Marie Lavoe put a spell on our boys they all looked like a bunch of new born colts out there even Ulis appeared rattled at the start. I believe LSU was really vulnerable at the beginning but we couldn't make shots and get them on the run, it was a strange performance haven't seen a Kentucky team play like that in a while we looked like a bad HS team, but we will carry on.
