I, for one, am not unhappy with this class. I think it IS an improvement over recent history...not like the last two years, but decent enough to help us keep moving forward.

But we have a long way to go if we hope to become really competitive in the SEC. Every team but Vandy had a higher rated class. Ole Miss, at 27th (Rivals), is the next above us. SEC teams consistently get in the top 25 and the top teams consistently get in the top 10. Over a period of several years this produces a ton of talent in the conference, especially at the top.

In any other conference a 35th ranked recruiting classes might be adequate to have a winning season almost any given year, but in the SEC we still have a long way to go.

Hopefully we put together a good year this Fall and our recruiting next year moves up several notches.

That's why we have to coach them up. It remains to be seen if Stoops and Co. can do it, but it is what it is.

I'm ok with it taking everything into consideration. I expected a down year after going 0-6 ending the season.

They addressed area's of need in this class and it will provide depth to the previous class.

I Think there are 10-12 very good solid players in this class, with more that could develope into good solid guy's.

Bottom line they will have to win games to be successful here, and it should start in 2015. I like the two juco's miggon's/bell. They should help us in 2015-2016 which is very important. Would have liked to get another juco db if lewis didn't commit simply because we need help there in 2015 along with dline (which they did).

I do not believe we will ever have a top five recruiting class in the SEC not enough home grown talent & not a big enough national presence. But I do not believe we have to. We need to use Missouri as a role model, keep or coaching staff together, get recruiting classes in the low thirties mid twenty's (if we can do better that would be great) & redshirt as many as we can.

Missouri's ratings are typically not much different than the 20s and 30s.

I think we can reasonably expect to be on the same level of competitiveness as they have been once Stoops gets another class or two in. (to have a foundation set)

Granted, they came in right as the SEC East took a nose dive and took advantage. But they are a competitive squad - and that is our first step.

A lot of folks don't get the huge difference between a class in the 50s/60s and the 20s/30s.
Even with good coaching, you have to catch lightning in a bottle to be competitive in the SEC with those classes.
(what i consider the back half of the Brooks era)

Yes, still a chasm between where we've been the last 3 years in recruiting and the top of the SEC food chain. We aren't in their neighborhood, but at least it is in the same zip code. Previously, we were not in the same state!

The simple truth is that UK cannot compete at the LINE of Scrimmage. Their uglies are bigger and uglier than UK's uglies. Until UK can field an OL and DL that is equal to the of the other SEC teams, they will routinely be the door mat of the SEC. Lots of Steroids, HGH, that is how they compete. JUST SAYIN.

Take a bow!!!!!
O & D line development are the most critical "missing pieces" for the Cats. I don't believe in the 'Roid-Route, but I think we certainly should be improved over last year with improved strength, better technique & more quality depth.

If not.....bad juju.

No doubt that the next step for Stoops and staff will be to really hit the trenches hard in recruiting...

Really need to start getting top tier talent on both offensive and defensive lines...

Should be the priority going into 2016...

I believe the staff is already looking at some big time D-linemen down in Florida...it will be a tough because every school in the country is also looking at them, but CMS and crew really need to go all out...

We have a nose tackle for the next 3 years...have some nice secondary pieces coming in...

a top tier DT and/or DE will go a long way in moving things forward for this coaching staff...if Missouri can haul in one of the best defensive tackles in the nation, we can...

Staff needs to bring in a couple linebackers as well...
