This is what happens when you actually coach a game and not just roll the ball out.Great 2nd half!!!!
Pretty much I think this was our first champion's classic win since the fox/monk/bam team beat MSU. Cal really boned us for so many years.Did we always used to lose these gsmes
Yep. Pope scouted Duke and knew that Duke's freshmen were poorly conditioned at this point in the season. He clearly told the team to attack the rim more, and it worked. Duke was gassed at the end, and our guys stepped up and made plays. I think we have ourselves a coach.
Yes 100%. They were completely sucking wind at the end.Yep. Pope scouted Duke and knew that Duke's freshmen were poorly conditioned at this point in the season.
Can't tire them out just jacking up threes. Attack on offense and ratchet up the defense and you get what you saw at the end of the game. Brilliant halftime adjustments by Pope.

Oh you’re right, he’s a game changer in the lane on the defensive end.I agree the gameplan changed, but it also helped that Maluach was out much of the 2nd half. In the first half, the KY guys were looking for him over their shoulders.
The game winning coaching move IMO was putting Carr in post and attacking the paint with him. He changed the game with that adjustment
Carr stepped up immensely from the 1st half to the 2nd halfThe game winning coaching move IMO was putting Carr in post and attacking the paint with him. He changed the game with that adjustment
