It's fact. And it's by the largest margin of any of the SEC schools. Alabama had lost the free throw battle in its two previous away games shooting 8 fewer against A&M and 5 fewer than South Carolina. They have won FTA in all of their home games. Today they get FOURTEEN!!! more free throws. Florida has won FTA at home, even in their loss against Mizzou. They have lost it all away games (Arkansas got to the line 10 more times in Fayetteville) except for "drum roll* at UK where they got 35 to our 24. We.actually shot one more free throw than MSU and the very few times the home team has not the most FTA, it's not been by more than two free throws. None of it has been enough to have impacted the result of the game (South Carolina shot two more than Vandy and lost by 3 at Vandy and Georgia got two more FTA at UT and was still blown out.

Meh, I have no problem if they are consistent.
The issue is you have to play around what they are calling even when it's wrong.

They are improperly calling fouls on 3s, sometimes it's a foul, other times it's not. So you have to play to it..you know if someome falls down they are calling it. You have to try to jump to the side.

We don't shoot as many free throws because we attempt more outside shots and two our recovery and help defense is late around the rim

We foul too much because we can’t stay in front of teams.

We don’t get fouled as much because we are a finesse team.

Agreed. I have half a mind to go back and rewatch the game and make clips of all the bad calls. There were calls on both ends that weren’t great because it is college officiating. I think if people saved the “we got hosed” for when we actually got hosed (Georgia), it means a little more. Still deciding whether I have the time after work to go do some clip-work, but then again I’m not sure it will matter. Ref blaming is just a cultural thing here and people get angry over it. As a fan, I definitely get frustrated at bad calls but I draw the line at blaming unless i really believe the situation calls for it

They were in the bonus with 15 left in the 2nd half. Crazy with all the 3s they were shooting. At one point it was 8-1 or 8-2. to start the 2nd half.

Hello, who am I? I'm batman.

You seem to be very emotional so I'm going to guess you're a woman or don't have much going on in your life besides sports and "seniority"/popularity on anonymous message boards.

Let me know which one it is when you find a moment to try your tears.
Well, congratulations.

Why are we crying about FT's? Did you know that Alabama scored it's last 12 points on FT's, all of which were when Bama was ahead by at least five points? What about the 10 FT's that Bama shot when Kentucky was trying to extend the game? Kentucky lost because they could not stop Grant Nelson, and Sears balled out. Alabama had the two best players on the floor tonight.

Our defense is SLOW. We can't deny that fact. When a quick team drives the ball to the rim and the defense is slow in moving their feet, they end up fouling. What do you want, the officials to ignore the fouls? Our defense is our weak link, we have great offnse movement, and we have really good shooters. The fact is we are slow and bad on defense. Maybe more of a matchup zone could help cover up our lack of lateral speed. Everyone is screaming at the refs and we need to scream at our defense. It hurts me as much as anyone on this board but until we get some quickness our defense & rebounding will suffer. It is what it is.
