Calipari. Some will defend him regardless of compelling evidence he should be fired. Others have argued early on that things were amiss with his management of the program while being attacked by those who disagreee. BBN is closest to the day-to-day realities and these discussions have been ongoing for some time now. More and more, former staunch Calipari defenders have now slowly been convinced that Calipari must now be gone for the sake of the program. This type of bickering and end-fighting is normal for the most case, like you would see in a large family. Normally, that bickering would be confined to the family. Apparantly, that's no longer the case. Some of you may have seen the article attached herein as our "family feud" within the BBN family has been spilling out more and more within the conference and national stage recently and been the subject of open discussion. This is not good for Calipari and should be embarrassing for any normally adjusted college coach. I don't think other conference members want to see the damage Calipari is inflicting on this program. The opinion around the conference is that Kentucky Basketball under Calipari has become irrelevant. Pretty damning, IMO.

One would think with all of the criticism and questioning of his ability to win at a high level again, Cal would take it all PERSONALLY and do everything in his power to prove the world wrong. He has HIS type of team this season, so NO MORE excuses!!!

But even if he doesn't, thanks to Mitch and that HORRIBLE contract, unless some big money donor helps buy him out, we are STUCK with him for at least 3 more seasons.

SAD

Cal does have a thin-skin so with enough embarrassment and pressure, I do think he would start looking for a way out. He's becoming a laughingstock nationally and continuing to implode this program validates the criticism. The question is how much embarrassment is he willing to endure? He doesn't need the money. He is so sick and twisted, I think there's a part of him that enjoys seeing his detractors suffer his malfeasance. Right now, the "Barnhart Contract" insulates him from any responsibility to perform. I've argued that he's violated the spirit and intent of his contract regarding performance because he wasn't hired to end generational poverty or provide a one-year NBA proving ground. His job is to build a sustainable roster of players year after year to win basketball games ... not an OAD NBA dog and pony show.
