I agree. I love the adjustments at the half. Sparked fire in the team, made a ton of adjustments, made a great challenge, changed up the defense, changed up the lineups..
Edit: AND beating THIS Duke team, which we rarely do recently, and winning the CC finally after going like 2 for 7.

I really thought it was over at half time. I forgot we have an actual coach that makes adjustments.
So glad he chose to come, to Kentucky. Told so many people in my circle how good of a coach he is and all I heard from them doubters was we shouldn't have hired him. He can't recruit and he hasn't coached at this level. Of course his team was 4th , in the best conference last year. Oh and he hasn't won a NCAA tournament game 😁
The way he ran Duke out of gas then cranked up the pressure was a master class. That was the best move I’ve seen a coach make in a long time.
It will only get better from here. This is just the beginning. Getting this massive statement win and putting his stamp on the UK program helps not only with recruiting, but the entire perception of Kentucky Basketball bringing excitement back to the BBN. A coach who is one of us that gets it and just as thrilled by the team winning as we are. Pope was the right hire at the right time. The masterful job that he did assembling this roster on the fly with depth including shooters, 3 defensive players of the year and experience is incredible!
They got in our belly’s and took us out of our offense and made us uncomfortable the first half…. We can out and returned the favor in the second half. It was simple as that. Most offensive minded teams when they get frustrated and taken out of their game lose intensity and energy on defense and get blown out. This team did the opposite
I like the fact that we showed we don’t live and die by the three. We didn’t come back by making a bunch of threes. We came back with defense, pressure, forcing turnovers and getting to the bucket and drawing fouls. Showed Pope is not a gimmicky coach.
