WCS playing in Italy

He takes some shots at the NBA that are spot on, while also humbly acknowledging that his game isn’t conducive to the NBA’s style. Happy for Willie, seems like he’s having a super cool experience over there.

Every game every ball is important hits home after watching the USA prima donna’s get their ass kicked this summer. Somebody needs to explain this to Brandon Ingram.

WCS has always enjoyed life on his terms. I've always appreciated that about him. There are far worse careers in the world than playing for hundreds of thousands of dollars after you've already earned tens of millions, living in a country surrounded by beautiful Italian women.
No joke. I've had a few friends visit Italy and they said it is soooo much more laid back there. They take 2-3 hours to eat a meal, and just generally enjoy life.

America is an awesome place but we could take a lesson here or there from some countries.

WCS.....never gave more than mediocre effort. Those were his terms....

I lived in Italy for two years when I was in the service. Granted, that was a long time ago, but it was that way back then. Just really laid back. Everyday around noon or 1:00, almost all the stores and restaurants would close for an hour. From what I was always told, they were taking a nap!

"I don't always call basketball players mediocre in their effort, but when I do, I reserve it for guys who were 1st team All-Americans on teams that go 38-1, and make back-to-back Final Fours."

Makes me wonder what he could have accomplished with more desire and effort.

WCS couldve easily transferred after his freshman year or entered the draft after his sophomore year and being injured. He stuck it out for three years and became an AA and lotto pick. He threw down some of the nastiest dunks and blocks of the Cal era.

Yeah, he disappeared in the Wisc game, but he was far from the only one that game.

Hitler analogies are like old dirty Band-Aids. It's clear that you could use them again and for multiple purposes, but it's also clear that it's probably unwise due to their sheer overuse.
If you say "it's probably" unwise, then it's not so clear at all.....is it?
Do you think it wise to demonstrate how high you levitate above the unwise?
