Watching those anti-UK narratives fall one by one...

This is always my favorite part of the basketball season, as we see some of the pre-season bullsheet narratives about UK or our players spouted by rival fans and the media fall by the wayside.

Just three games in the season, we've seen two completely disproven already, with a few more ready to topple.

Proven wrong:

1. Three PGs can't play together. Does anyone still think the Ulis, Murray, Briscoe backcourt isn't shaping up to be a great combo?

2. K is beating Cal at the OAD game/Cal's recruiting is slipping. I think this week alone turned that one upside down.

About to topple:

1. Narrative: Briscoe is over-rated, will not be drafted, etc. Status: I'm loving Briscoe's game and attitude. I also love that Cal is working on Briscoe's game with the intent of turning him into a better pro prospect. The fact is - no other college coach does this. The focus of most coaches is just teaching guys their system and fitting them in to it, and if you don't you're on the bench. That's what happens at Kansas - and is why Oubre spent most of the first two months of last year on the bench and Alexander never left it. It's what happens at Louisville, and is why a guy like Blackshear never developed skills outside his role on the offense that could have made him an NBA prospect.

2. Narrative: Marcus Lee is one of Cal's busts. Status: I think Lee has been great thus far, and I see his game evolving with the increased playing time. I think by the end of the year, he's going to be wowing us on a regular basis.

Other narratives waiting to be proven wrong?

Couldn't care less about what others say about us, but I love watching Marcus Lee play the game of basketball. That kid plays like his hair is on fire every minute he's on the court.

Lee has always been an energy guy. I'm seeing the transformation of him moving in his skillset from flood light to laser beam. His baby hook is erratic but improving and he's starting to make dribble post moves that I don't recall seeing in the previous seasons. Lee's development is awesome.

Since April when Cal "whiffed " on a bunch of his targets, Cal recruited out of the box again and put together an amazing team!!!! Just a few months later he puts together next years monster class!!!!! So cal out all the doubters to bed for two seasons. The ones that thought he whiffed on this season and the ones who complained that all the top talent waited till spring and miss on some. Never doubt Calipari and recruiting

K adapted to the game changing, he is great for going after and winning with one and dones.

Cal was evil, cheating and ruining college basketball. 100's of experts on how to fix it column after column of hate.
Don't forget the hate from the rival fans. Now they are into OAD players, no negative hired mercenaries remarks. No "they have no connection etc.

I love Lee's hair cut. He reminds me of 1950's Sonny Rollins.
