Watching McD gsme

I always liked Jay Will. He was a tolerable Dukie of sorts. I don't ever remember him talking trash. If he did, he backed it up. He was a straight up badass on the basketball court. Wish Tubby would've landed him. Him and Bogans as UK's backcourt. Wowzers!!!! :flushed:

Jay was one heluva guard, very good. I still disagree with him sometimes.

Hell yeah, Jwill !! He and Seth Greenberg have made a fan out of me. The only two that has had UK's back and UK fans' back. Thank you, Jay and Seth.

Met Jay Williams at the Final 4 in 2005 in St Louis. Was very nice and had a lot of nice things to say about UK at that time. Did not need to give my friends and I the time of day but was was happy to talk basketball with us for awhile.

So when Jay and Seth are banging the drum for Duke as the best team in the country, we hate them, and when they're calling out the refs against (a hated rival in) UNC we like them?

Got it. [thumb2]

Duke was one of the most talented teams in the country, beat Carolina 2 out of 3 times, and won the ACC tournament. They greatly underachieved in the NCAA tournament. I think the problem for a lot of UK fans has more to do with the non-stop hype ESPN does of all things Duke, North Carolina, and the ACC

As for calling out the refs, did you think it was fairly officiated? It's not like they were the only two sports commentators who thought that the officiating was terrible, just the only ones from ESPN that will openly talk about it to that extent.

I know right? It's almost like people think you can actually disagree with some things people say, and agree with other things they say. Crazy talk.

Man was he a great college guard. I remember he broke my 8 year old heart in that OT game against Tayshaun and the guys back in 01. Shame his wreck ruined his career, he would still be in the NBA to this day.

Jay is more than likely a good guy, but I very seldom agree with what he says.

I usually like Seth. But the poor 'ole Gracie story got repeated over and over and over until I got sick of listening to him.

Jay Williams is a really cool dude I had the opportunity to talk with him at the 2015 FF in Indy. I was teasing him that he was the 2nd best player out of St Joseph's behind KAT. He is very personable and isn't afraid to speak his mind. For instance he asked Sunday night if Higgins & crew had UNC in their bracket, based on their poor calls.
