And he looks migjhty impressive to me. Would like to see this kid get an offer soon. Keldon johnson looks pretty good as well.

Cal could have offered him and Reddish as a package and gotten them but would lose Barrett. Now if we lose Barrett, King and Reddish you can complain about the strategy.

Not "complaining" about any strategy. Just think king is worth the scholly offer and i dont think we get reddish in the end.

he can commit any time he wants. just call up cal and the staff and say you want to come to uk. they wont say no.

Yeah because Cal wouldn't have taken reddish if he was ready to commit. Jesus Christ think with your head

Starting to wonder about this "strategy". King can flat out play. If he wants UK I say you go ahead and take him. But Cal is in charge and he has one more title than me, so I'll trust in him.

It's weird seeing people say we need to go all out and absolutely wrap him up (I somewhat agree - but I think cal knows what he's doing ) when some people are complaining that we're not getting "enough top 1-3 guys "

So now we basically just need to get 6 guys in the top 15. Two guys in the top 3, and rest top 15... lol

I think some people will never be fully satisfied

I think its a shame that on this board you cant make a statement regarding a kids talent and your desire to see him earn a scholarship offer unless you are questioning cal and the ky program. Lol

I agree.

Some are going to complain when we don't sign Williamson, Barrett, Reddish, and Bol.

We could get three out of four and they would still complain.

We should be ecstatic if we get one of those four.

Well that'll be a first.

Look at it this way. If Cal hasn't offered him yet, he must feel reeeeeally good about Zion, Barret, and/or Reddish.

Remember last year when so many people wondered why we didn't offer Brian Bowen and we ended up with Vanderbilt, Washington, and Knox? Some of us have short memories I suppose.

Lol. Totally false.

I guess you have inside info to know this. But it's a guessing game on who's going to work out and who won't.

hell....a good number didnt even want vanderbilt. instead they wanted us to go get a 3 start "shooter" instead.

Anyone else find it funny how Cal has only signed 1 great SF before this class and now it seems to be the top position we recruit/expect to get.

I like the class we have this year, tho Bamba/Bagley would've put them over the top

I don't think we get both reddish and Barrett. That said I think cal is waiting on reddish to make his decision before offering king. When he does I think he will commit right away and will be a great two yr player for us

Some, because yeah, we have our "shooter" obsessives around here, but a lot of people (myself included) thought taking Vanderbilt along with PJ Washington meant the end of any chance of getting Knox, who was generally viewed as the jewel of that bunch. Which ended up being wrong (and I'm not so sure Knox is better than Vanderbilt anyway, though that's not something that was clear at that time).

People need to realize that this is going to be a tougher year for Cal to recruit than normal, not in terms of getting top players interested, but in terms of being careful about who he takes and when he takes them. When you look at it, Cal is very possibly recruiting to a roster that could include:

Richards, SKJ, Wynyard, Gabriel, Vanderbilt, Washington, SGA, Baker, and Green.

Will all those guys come back? Probably not. Richards has the physical tools where he doesn't have to do much in college to still go 1st round, and Gabriel, Vanderbilt and Washington (pick any 1 or combo of the 3) will leave if the chance is there. But right now, Cal is looking at 11 guys who are Freshmen or Sophomores, with only 2 who seem very, very likely to go pro in the spring. He can't take commits from 4 or 5 top 20 guys, at least not right away.
