VCU's New Basketball Practice Facility

folks...that is stunning...

I'd like to know who their big booster is...

that place is on par with the craft center...at 25 million it is very close to what the JCC cost...and that is mind boggling to think about...VCU spending the same on Basketball as Kentucky?!

the inside set up actually looks similar in design, so i wonder if it was the same outfit that did Craft...

Bravo to VCU...looks like they're making a major play to stay relevant in basketball...

In other VCU-related news, Shaka just lost his 3rd game as Texas coach. Michigan did the honors. Be interesting to see how he pans out down there. I just can't see him being wildly succesful with half the arena empty all season long.

I was wondering the same thing. It looks like the same architect. We may need to remodel the Craft to make sure that it stays the gold standard.

Didn't the JCC end up over 35 million dollars?

That facility is nice, but it's not as nice as ours.

Relax rafters

30 million according to athletics website...

Been in and around JCC many times...top shelf no doubt...but that facility in the pictures is on par with it...

That's how big time athletics is...you can build a top shelf state of the art facility...and 10 years later that top shelf you're on starts to get a little crowded with others who have popped up...

I would almost say congrats to vcu but i can not stand them or their fans. Went to the final four in houston when we lost to UCONN (actually sat in the row directly behind the UCONN team while we waited to play them in the second game). VCU fans were absolutely abnoxious, disrespectful, and a very dirty group of individuals. Will never hope for anything good for that program.
