I hate to laugh, but Vandy loses at the buzzer to MSU. Stallings should get the Ziggy - Vandy had too many good players to be this bad.

I dont see nutin.I do not feel sorry for Vanderbilt in the least. Their perpetual chirping the last few years has become increasingly annoying, and this past offseason I was hearing it from just about every Vandy fan I knew that they were going to win the SEC. Vanderbilt fans have unmitigated hatred of Kentucky basketball (as opposed to other SEC schools who at least respect us) and it is only their perpetual mediocrity that keeps us from noticing just how much they dislike us. This is to say nothing of the near-constant reminders they offer to anyone who will listen of just what an outstanding academic institution they are, and how we, ahem, aren't. Drink it in, UK fans. They've had this one coming for a long time.
Just doesn't seem like the type of team that Stallings is comfortable with. I always think of Vandy as good O, mediocre D. Looking at Vandy's raw numbers this year, it seems like the same thing- Vandy is putting up 77 ppg, shooting 46%, 39% from 3- but Pomeroy says no. Pomeroy rates them 67 on offense, 19 on D (and has them 29th overall, which seems wildly high).
If you look at Stallings best teams, from 07 through 2012, Vandy's offense and defense ratings went like this:
21/77, 48/103, 94/72, 30/70, 12/129, 11/32.
When a coach has been around as long as Stallings, and so consistently coached the same way, you wonder how much it throws him off when he has a team that can't really play the way he's used to.
And, BTW, I don't mind this one bit. Stallings has had one too many jackass moments for me to want him to succeed.

Shit and of course UGA can't get out of their own damn way at home to beat the nasty lizzards to pull ahead of Candy in the standings....oh well. Such is life as a UGA bball fan.
Not true at all but they can't lose anymore of the regular season games besides UK and make it probably . After tonight they would be one of the first 4 out or the next 4 out so they still are in it but it looks like Bama is in drivers seat for that 6th spot in the league as we will get 6 this year almost for sure.
Every time in the past that I filled out my NCAA bracket that I thought Vandy had a good team and would win some NCAA games I have gotten burned. Even when they play UK well during the SEC regular season and the SEC tournament they usually lose in the first round of the NCAA tournament. I don't care how good I think they are I will never pick them to win an NCAA tournament game. It looks like we better be ready to play them in Nashville since that will probably be by far the best game they play all season and they know they're probably not getting into the NCAA tournament unless they win the SEC tournament.
Always a tricky place to play but I've seen them effort one good game this year. Otherwise they play VERY soft.
Yep, there is no doubt they will be fighting for their NCAA tourney lives when the Cats come to town. Also would not want to play them in SEC tourney.
