I know we dominate UTsr in football, but we haven't played them much in hoops.

How is the Texas basketball team this year?

Who do we dominate in football again???

Texas BBall is good. They have some bad losses just like most teams do this season, but they are good. Strong, physical post guys and a very good PG in Felix. Should be a good game. I'll take Texas.

Frieda is a Vandy goober that thinks Roman Numeral Baldwin is as good at basketball as Tyler Ulis.

I'll take Texas.
Shaka Smart >>> Kevin Stallings

and Vandy is Ryan Harrow level soft.

Yeah, they're pretty good. As another poster said, they've got lots of size up front. Where is the game being played? I'd probably take the home team in this game. On a neutral court, it's probably a toss up.

Good question, where is the game being played. I do think Shaka is a really good coach; definitely and up and comer. Once he gets some good recruits in there, they'll be dangerous.

In Austin I don't give Vandy a lot of hope. UT is small since their big guy got hurt. But the Horns will press and Vandy turned it over a lot in their loss to Arkansas. Rooting for SEC though in all these challenge games.

Be nice to see an opponent, especially an SEC one, have some quality wins.

Good luck, hopefully the 'Dores play at least half as good as you pumped them up this preseason.

This could be a long, sad day for the SEC I haven't seen the odds yet but Arkansas over Tubby may be the only game the SEC is favored in...?

I'd be happy to see some big wins Saturday. Hopefully we lead the charge.

I'm for all the SEC teams tomorrow. I want the SEC to have some bragging rights over the almighty B12. Texas is a pretty good team though. I think their new coach will make some noise there. If he can recruit well in Texas that's a great start right there. They have some talent and size on this year's team to. It'll be a tough game for Vandy to win in Austin, but I will be pulling for them. Same for A&M, LSU, and Florida. All of them. Means nothing to the SEC standings anyway. It's all about conference pride. More importantly winning most of those games would help the SEC a lot in terms of RPI, and in the media who adores the B12.

Could be a "watershed" weekend for the SEC. SEC hosts 3 of the 5 biggest games (WVU @ UF, Iowa State @ Texas A&M, Oklahoma @ LSU) The two road games are winnable but probably unlikely (Vandy @ Texas, Kentucky @ Kansas)

Florida can beat West Virginia in Gainesville now that Holton from WVU is suspended. They are in the tournament as of today but really need a signature win. I'm curious to see the crowd for that game.

I haven't looked yet but A&M should be favored over Iowa State. This is probably the one game I'm most confident the SEC will win out of the 5 big match-ups.

I'm not holding my breath on LSU beating Oklahoma but we've seen the last two years how well LSU plays at home in a huge game.

Would LOVE to see us win 3 of those 5 big games. I could realistically see Florida, A&M and Vanderbilt or Kentucky winning.

I would also love to see Dana O'Neill's response after this from the SEC-Big 12 preview ESPN posted:

Dana O'Neil: The Big 12 is just better top to bottom. The league's best teams are better than the cream of the crop in the SEC, its middle is stronger and even its basement. I wouldn't be surprised, frankly, if the Big 12 swept the event.

Frieda's board sucks so bad, he has to come here and post about his team. Actually feel kinda bad for him.

The only thing I know about Texas is that Rick Barnes isn't there anymore, so I'd automatically say they're improved.
