Smooth is starting to grow on me. Excellent comparison to Stacey Augmon.

I'm glad you asked smooth. My cousin angel can't decide if she should testify against her boyfriend in a minor meth bust that happened recently. She swears she doesn't do meth but I don't know what to believe. I told her to sleep on it and call me tomorrow. What would you do?

Vanderbilt was one of the best players in the McDonalds, Nike Hoop Summit, and the Jordan Brand Classic this year. We have to be excited when you have Vanderbilt, PJ Washington, Knox, and Diallo on the same team. They are explosive scorers and will be exciting to watch next year. When you look at Green, Diallo, Alexander, and Baker in the backcourt and Knox, PJ, Vanderbilt, Richards, Gabriel, SKJ, and Wynyard in the frontcourt this will be a Final Four team come next year Tournament time. We will have 9 or 10 players that could be starting on any NCAA team next year. We are going to have once again two solid teams with these 9 or 10 players next year that both could be Top 20 teams next year.
Augmom and MKG have identical games. Augment was a better offensive player but not by much. So hopefully we get an Augmon/MKG clone
Good call. MKG is the far better comparison for Augmon's game. Not just precisely the same qualities (especially defensively), but also precisely the same weaknesses--both had a fundamentally awful looking jumper, and neither could hit a lick from deep (Augmon was a career 15 percent three point shooter).
Haven't seen enough of Vanderbilt's game yet to know, but I seriously doubt he defends anything like Augmon did, or has Augmon's freakish level of athleticism. But I damn well hope he's got a better looking outside jumper.
