UT faking it

NCAA definitely needs to do something. If you come off the field for an 'injury' then you're on the bench for the remainder of the possession.
My problem is you're asking people who don't know what "holding" or a "blow to the head" is to make medical decisions.

Totally agree. If your physical condition stops play, you are off until next change of possession.

If you standardize the rule as rick64 suggested (and I think that's a good basis) then there's no guesswork. If you drop to the turf and cause whistles to blow and delay the game, you're automatically out for the possession (or some set minimum time or amount of plays).

I agree, unless the Injured player was victim to a penalty like late hit on the QB or something like that.
