I've watched them play and actually think they are pretty decent. I think they'll go 10-8 in the SEC and make it into the Big Dance.
Why is it that they were 10-0 but barely cracked the Top 25, whereas UL was 9-1 and at #16. Neither has beaten anybody. I guess running up the score on cupcakes and one good half against a good team really impressed the voters.
Having said that, why in the world would you be playing D2 Francis Marion University (their next game) this late in the season? Shouldn't that be an exhibition game?
Absolutely they can beat us. The've beaten Depaul, Drexel, Clemson, Tulsa, and St. John's. We've lost to worse SC teams than this one...and they're playing us at home.Ease up on throwing daggers at South Carolina. They certainly are good enough to beat us in Columbia. Frank is building that program, and I'm glad to see it.

South Carolina hasn't played any team in Top 25. They have Strength of Schedule Rank at 250 and there RPI is 40 and that is because they are undefeated at 10-0. The toughest team by RPI Ranking was Oral Roberts at 61 and Tulsa at 60. Memphis will probably be there toughest team in the OOC and they have an RPI at 136 with a record at 8-3.
They're doing exactly what they need to do in order to change the perception of their program. I knew this would be 'their year' to turn it around and have told several SC friends. They'll definitely make the NiT this year and possibly have an outside shot at the NCAAT
