USA Today: Harbaugh owns College Football

No doubt that he's a great coach, but he's not even the best coach in his own conference. I think that Meyer is better and Franklin is just as good if not better than Harbaugh. Plus, Michigan will be down this year. If they win more than 8 games this year I'll be surprised. They lose nearly their entire team.

I'm a Michigan and Harbaugh fan and I don't agree with the comment. He certainly is taking advantage of the rulebook.

Ok. I just read the article. That was terrible. After reading it I'm still trying to figure out how he owns college football.

Maybe she should revisit her article after this season.

The teams I hear most about is Clemson, Ohio State and Alabama. Michigan is never in the conversation unless Harbaugh does something like sleep over's or taking his team to meet the pope. Other than shenanigans, you never hear about recruits pouring our love for Harbaugh.

He's the Coach Cal of college football ... right now, he's the show.

Is he the best and will he win the most? That's a different discussion. Definitely not this year I wouldn't think ... as the Big Ten East is gonna be a bear and they're sitting behind Penn State and Ohio State.

Agreed. Right now he's the headline grabber who plays within the rules but pushes them to the limit. He's a great coach. Is he elite?....that's yet to be determined. But next yr I think about 8-10 wins is about right......as they lost quite a bit of personnel.

I think that Cal has more integrity than Harbaugh. Not to mention that Cal, at least from afar, doesn't act like such a bad ass on social media and then throw himself at recruits to get their signatures by climbing a tree, having a sleepover, jumping into a pool, looking like a creep by hanging out with a little sister of a recruit at a Go Karts, etc.

I am not sure Harbaugh has ever had the type of talent Urban has had at UF and now OSU. I don't think Urban is a better coach than JH.

Between Harbaugh and Franklin, I will let time tell that tale. I respect greatly what Franklin did with the talent he had at Vandy (as a coach on the field) and am starting to see PSU reflect that coaching skill, but am aware that Franklin was on the hotseat early last season. So, I will let that tenure play before rating him against Harbaugh's successes at Stanford and UM.

HaHa, that feeling when winning 8 games is a down year for a big boy program but it would be one of the top 4,5 best seasons ever at UK but yet some posters say we are a big boy SEC program lol.

You are correct, a lot of real fans do. Often it is part of being a real fan, just like the word fan is part of the word fanatic.

Coming soon to a theater near you.

As a player, coach etc has always played second fiddle too everyone...He sticks his neck out, beats his chest just to get attention....He's good but not great....Just like his brother...Good not great....

Take Saban for example....Never shows emotion...But wins and succeeds...Learned under Belichek who learned under Parcels...Between all of them NCAA titles/Superbowls. Harbaugh nothing at this point.

Super bowl champion with Joe Flacco as your quarterback I would say he's more than good.

Jbapp, your cynicism and negativity know no reasonable bounds.

Please Quote and Post (as I have done yours) any Kentucky fan that say we are a Big Boy SEC program.

Is there optimism that we are growing?

Sure.

That recruiting is at a high level?

Of course.

An isolated prediction of a 10 win season?

Yep.

Even some hope of a future SEC Eastern championship?

Yeah, some of that, too.

I can quote and post all of these, but none stating your hyperbole.

Your sole purpose here seems to be to reinforce a negative perception of all things UK, and to down those who dare that UK aspire to do better . . . . and point out reasonable hope for that outcome.

Do you go to funerals to remind family members of the pain the decedent suffered prior to their demise?

Do you attend divorce court, and sneer at the parties that you were too wise to have ever married?

If your "fanship" requires such easy hope for success, you don't have to travel even as far as Bama' Football Forum at Rivals, just head to our roundball forum. There, you can rest at ease regarding any expression of optimism, as UK has a winning tradition second to none, that was established decades before your birth. There, any expressions of optimism might rise above your well studied and frequent contempt.

You are wasting your time, he is the optimist.

wow, old post. Ask blue decade he specifically called us one of the big boy programs now. Go search his post history and find out. Im not negative im honest and share my opinion. Negative is bringing up old posts just for the sake of arguing. Hack, have we ever txted to each other on this forum before now? Are you having a bad day and just going through random posts taking your anger out?

Jauk, you, and whoever else should have no reason to troll me, im a UK fan only, so its not like im coming here saying bad things as another fan of a different school. My opinion is we win 4 games BECAUSE HOW I VIEW OUR SCHEDULE TO BE ALOT TOUGHER THIS YEAR. If that hurts yalls lil feelings forgive me. If we win 10 games and compete for the east i will have tears OF JOY! So im not negative im sharing my honest opinion.

Now, the mods have already warned Jauk, a few others, and me of being Petty, and just absolute non sense, and people like Jauk and few others trolling me non stop. I have not done any wrong so lets just end this petty talk right here from one UK fan to another. Have a great day.

Jauk i brought you up because you still find ways to troll me by liking everyone that attacks me, knock off the harassment dude.

Just agreeing with the Hack, what is wrong with that?

I don't target individuals, I target harmful negativity, and four wins would have been a good optimistic forecast-------in Stoops first year. Guess nothing has changed for some of our posters since then, pretty much the same roster, huh..

To be fair, his brother won a championship. So not just like.

Jim Harbaugh could have been a great NFL qb, if he would have stop griping at his head coaches in the NFL...in particular Mike Dikta...thats one to gripe at!!! Lol...Harbaugh has ALWAYS felt entitled. Even too this day....

His brother no different...still griping to this day, about Belichik and the rule book in the AFC championship game or AFC divisional playoff...the poor Harbaughs....so excluded...whatever

All do respect...wrong harbaugh

what are you talking about wrong Harbaugh? I am a Ravens fan I think I know John Harbaugh won a Super Bowl with the Ravens. I was responding to the comment he was like his brother not a good coach and that isn't true in John Harbaugh's case.

Jim harbuagh was on Saved by the Bell. Screech says "JIM HARBAUGH" so much that it's all I can hear when I read his name.
