* I can't sleep again tonight so I did this, I may be missing someone so forgive me. It's amazing to me that we have so much talent on our team compared to previous years. Yes, we replace the entire secondary, Josh Allen, and Snell but I like their replacements. I'm ready for the year to start.

Not sure if this is supposed to be a depth chart as well as a roster, but if it is then I think Calvin Taylor will be ahead of T.J. Carter(not a knock on Carter, Taylor is just very good.)

Also I know Stoops said that he would like to put Paschal’s hand back in the dirt this upcoming season, but I wouldn’t be too surprised if we still saw him at JACK in an effort to keep our best 11 on the field as much as possible. I'm not confident enough to fully go out on a limb and predict it, just wouldn’t really be shocked by it.

Biggest question mark for me when looking at this list is where is our WR production coming from besides Bowden? I’ve heard good things about Dailey, and Wagner also has potential, but I feel we’re still in the “wait and see” phase with those guys

Thanks OP. Really anxious and curious to see who steps up in the WR / CB rotations. Plenty of playing time to be had in those groups.

Hard to have WR production w/o QB production. We were 90th in YPA in '18. Some was WR's no doubt, but far from all.

Lynn Bowden had 67 catches. That is pretty good numbers. The next best 1 was CJ Conrad with 30 catches, then it goes down to 13. So we had a couple guys catch balls, that tells me it may be on the receivers....mainly

TW passes are behind the receivers at least 50% of the time. they can't get open because they have to slow down for the ball. most of Bowden yards come after the catch due to most catches behind the line of scrimmage.

It's amazing to me that we have so much talent on our team compared to previous years.

D-line in particular looks crazy good and should be for some time.

Yes, and yes.

But not just D-line. Even at our worrisome spot, corner back, there are "unproven" names that were huge recruiting wins. We just didn't have the snaps for some to exhibit their talents as true frosh, or even as redshirts. Having three 6' 3" (OR 6' 4') corners as seniors sheltered some young talent that would have seen the field much more in virtually any other era of UK football. For those that count stars, we will have more former 4 Star players at corner than we had last year . . . . think about that for a second.

But, yeah, look at the D-line. There might well be 8 future NFL players listed. Hell, maybe more. Marquan McCall had a solid true frosh season, and is going to be a bear. Bohanna likely is in his last year, as he is already a bear.

Line play is the key and our traditional weakness. We look loaded on both sides.

We are going to keep having fun in football for the foreseeable future!!!!!

It wasn't intentionally suppose to be like a depth chart but some pieces fell into the place. I agree Taylor is better than Carter. And on Paschal, I think he'll be used in both JACK and with his hand in the dirt. I've been preaching about Dailey at WR too.

79 scholarship players? Is that right? And that is before Whittaker announced today that he is leaving and I would be shocked if Hughes is still on the team. 77 seems kind of light.

There's definitely more guys that I'm forgetting right now. Guys who were walk-ons that got scholarships.

Not doubting your accuracy. I was just surprised that we didn't sign a full class of 25 since we are still short of 85. I know we'll have a small class next year but with normal attrition we will lose 5-10 guys as that is pretty normal.

If I am counting correctly, that is 78 players including 9 seniors. I thought Hughes was suspended indefinitely pending resolution of his legal problem, but I guess he may still be on scholarship.

Think if he were leaving he would've gone by now in order to go thru spring practice at another school.
Not if he doesn't yet have enough credits to graduate. Transferring before graduation means sitting out a year as a redshirt. Hoak already used his redshirt option in 2016, so he would not want to lose another season of play. But transferring as a grad transfer means he would have two years of eligibility and could play immediately. The account circulating last fall was that Hoak will have enough credits to graduate after the current spring semester. Then he could transfer over the summer with two years of remaining eligibility. Participating in UK's spring practice would keep him sharp. I still think there is a pretty good chance Hoak leaves unless TW gets hurt this spring.

True but Hoak's been in school long enough to have his credits. We'll see, I think Stoops is well aware of the situation.

Pretty sure Hoak graduates in May. Thus, there is still some thought that IF he leaves, that is when he would do it.

Ahmad Wagner is the only receiver designated at the "X" position, that would seem to mean that he may start there. He would be awesome at the X IMO.

I'm not saying terry is great yet,but most of Bowden's catches for good yardage was downfield.

I didn't see either one of these guys on your roster

Didn't Kenneth Horsey transfer?
If these are right I have 79

I'm pretty sure all these guys are still with the team.

I think he's in the running to start with Ali and Epps the front runners.
