Updated roster now.

I predict Bam and Briscoe will go soon, and probably another big man will leave if we get Bamba, just not sure which one that'll be. Hopefully we can limit the roster turnover to that.

Still not hearing that Bam is rocketing up draft boards. It's rare that I think a kid at UK will majorly benefit his draft stock to come back.

Teague I thought would have.
Goodwin
maybe Dakari, but I could also see Dakari not getting a lot of love for his lack of athleticism.

Bam is late 20's-30's in a lot of mocks. He can really improve his post offense and add a consistent jumper and make himself a top 10 pick.

Briscoe--If he could shoot, he's an NBA player. Maybe a 2nd rounder, but still. All accounts say he wants to bolt. If he does, power to him for 2 good years. But it makes sense to finish up your education and try to put yourself in a position to play in the NBA.

I'm holding out hope for both.

I would give anything to be on the inside and to know all the conversations that are going on. Bam staying meaning Bamba goes to Duke probably, Bam leaving which means we could very well get Bamba which either could push Humphries out the door... just a lot of situations up in the air. If kids could see life through a 50 year old eyes. Humphries needs four years and he has a shot to play many years in the NBA as a pick and pop guy....

I could see Bam going either way. I think he has the skill level that if he had another year of exposure it would help his draft position. On the other hand, he is probably a late 1st rounder now. That may be good enough in his eyes.

I wish Briscoe would come back. I don't see him getting drafted right now. He could help the team next year, and be one year closer to graduation. I just think it is risky for him leave.

Bam, I believe, is in a win-win depending on perspective. Briscoe's situation is a little more dicey. I just hope whatever decision they make, it works out the best for them and the Cats.

I honestly get the feeling at least 1 of Briscoe and Bam comeback. Obviously their not really going to impact the others decision since they play different positions. I just think both have more positives than negative if they come back. This draft is guard heavy and lack of shooting and elite athleticism will kill Briscoe's chances this year, but next could be the exact opposite and if he continues to improve shooting it only enhances his likelihood to get drafted. Bam can also show continued improvement and likely jump into the lottery if not a top 10 pick for next year. Plus with the players we have coming in it should allow him to play more of his natural 4 spot. Not going to be shocked or upset if they both go, they deserve it. However, I just think at least 1 comes back and maybe both.

Bamba is not going to duke anyway you slice it . He would end up at Texas IMO.

If briscoe improves his shot between now and next season as much as he did between last season and now he will be drafted. But he also needs to lose 10-12 pounds as being a non elite athlete every extra pound hurts. He shouldn't leave as IMO one more year and he can be a early 2nd rounder . Right now he wouldn't be drafted til about 60 and there are only 55 spots. Bam will be a top 20 pick but I can understand if he comes back as he could be a top 5 pick next season easy as he would be the best big man in college hands down IMO . Hell he has top 5-8 this season by the end. I love Briscoe and all he brings and think if he came back we would become huge favorites to win it all but I doubt he does. Think Bam has a much bigger chance of coming back .

Hump needs to go for his own good. Richards and either Bam or Bamba means little playing time for him.

SKJ and Wynyard should be looking elsewhere as well if they want to play. The new guys and Gabriel are in front of both.

The issue becomes guard depth with experience. There is none.

I wish Briscoe would be happy with being a 4 year player. But kids don't come to UK to play for 4 years, Cal doesn't bring in players with that mentality. If he is never going to play in the NBA maybe he's ready to start making money somewhere he can play. He would be a top tier overseas player and make really good money. Nothing wrong with that either but I really hope he he considers the benefits of coming back too.

There is no roster. The season is over.

The next roster will be out the day of the first official team function of the 2017-2018 season.

Your list is not a roster. It's the expired roster minus seniors and those who have declared for the NBA.

But it is a roster.

Worst case scenario, IMHO:

Starters

G Green
G Diallo
F Vanderbilt
F Washington
F Richards

Key Reserves

G Alexander
F Killeya-Jones
F Wynyard

Six Freshmen and two Sophomores. Pretty much no experience.

Best case scenario, IMHO:

Starters

G Briscoe
G Diallo
F Knox
F Adebayo
F Bamba

Key Reserves

G Green
F Vanderbilt
F Washington
F Gabriel
F Richards

That's a championship caliber team. Some experience mixed in with some young OAD talent.

The end result will be somewhere in between those two scenarios.
