Up to the top 4 seed in Lunardi’s latest

This season will all depend on 1 thing - can they flip a switch and play respectable defense starting in the NCAA tourney or not. Guess I’ll just try to enjoy the ride.

This guy is ranked very highly on the bracket matrix and I can't figure out his seedings

He has Kentucky a 5 with Clemson and Wisky who both lost yesterday as well.
For the life of me I can't understand how 1 quad 1 Auburn is ahead of us.

SEED: TEAM (CONFERENCE)
1: Purdue (Big 10)
1: Connecticut (Big East)
1: Houston (Big 12)
1: Arizona (Pac-12)

2: Tennessee (SEC)
2: North Carolina (ACC)
2: Marquette (Big East)
2: Kansas (Big 12)

3: Iowa State (Big 12)
3: Baylor (Big 12)
3: Alabama (SEC)
3: Duke (ACC)

4: Creighton (Big East)
4: Auburn (SEC)
4: Illinois (Big 10)
4: San Diego State (MWC)

5: Kentucky (SEC)
5: BYU (Big 12)
5: Clemson (ACC)
5: Wisconsin (Big 10)

6: Washington State (Pac-12)
6: Dayton (A-10)
6: South Carolina (SEC)
6: St. Mary’s (WCC)

If we maintain that projection and continue on a hot streak and they keep us low at a 4 or 5, it may be similar to how someone could get screwed like wichita st got screwed.

The reg season sec champs will fair better in seeding than whoever wins the sec tourney.

For some reason, going months every game battling to win means more than winning 3 or 4 games in a conf tourney.

No shot at a 2 imo. Too much ground to make up.
I think we could get a 2 if we win out until the SEC Tournament final. At UT would be a 4th win in the Net top 10, and we might pick up a 5th in the tournament semifinals.

I don’t think it’s a lock, and I think any loss and it’s out the window.

Still believe most likely landing spot will be the 4/5 line, but that’s assuming we can’t pull out a win in Knoxville.

The 6 man bracket matrix mock committee who actually did this for 3 days (Friday-Sunday) and did it exactly like the NCAA does theirs came up with this. Spoiler alert Kentucky was a 4 seed (#14 overall)

Oh a 4 seed playing a defacto road game against their 5 seed by playing Wash State in Spokane, Washington?

It amazes me that some people get paid to do this. If I was this bad at my job, I'd have been fired a long time ago.

There is no rule against it in the 2nd round only protection you get for at top 4 seed is the opening round.

But a 5 seed also does not get preferential treatment for their open rounds location.

It would never happen.

We will be a 4 or 5 seed unless we go on a serious run including a win in Knoxville.

If we don’t lose again before the NCAA tourney, we might climb to a 2 seed.

How in the world could AZ be a 1 over UT? One other pac-12 team top 6 seeds, 4 SEC teams projected top 6. Ranked higher as well.

And I hate UT.
