Unfortunately… Duke is going to win it all

Duke still has a major problem. Recruiting these freshman. We’re out of that largely and thank God. They’re still going with that system, largely to keep their brand as the brand of the NBA. We won’t be able to maintain that unfortunately, but winning cures all and we haven’t been able to recruit with them for a while. Calipari’s pogo stick recruits, jump high guys with little skill, wasn’t gonna sustain anymore. Duke will miss a lot through each class as these freshman today aren’t reliable. So we’re gonna go strictly for winning and Duke still wants to battle to have the most pros. I think even though our brand will take a little bit as the “place of the pros” we’re gonna win regardless.

Duke hasn’t played for a national title in 10 years. They’re not the juggernaut many think. And I don’t think that changes until they scrap the freshman route.

Couldn’t agree more. We are trying to build with the correct recipe and Duke is prioritizing “being cool” more than choosing the best winning combination imo. Happy to see it personally.

They’ve just got the total package. And usually the 3 point line is sometimes a weakness in the tournament for them . But not this year

This is why threads speaking in absolutes are a bit silly IMO.

Duke was the best team last season. But ......like 2015 with UK......there were other teams that were also extremely good.

It's a one and done tournament. It cannot be overstated how much the best team in college basketball DOES NOT WIN.
