UNC May Just Win The Title Again Next Year???

Wow, according to this article, these guys think UNC might just win again next year and give reasons as to why you wouldn't want to face them. So, I guess they assume UNC will just continue to get away with their cheating ways with zero punishment and even be a great team again next year despite losing a lot of talent. OK. So, what do you all think about what this has to say? I can't wait to hear the responses.

Berry back is the key for them.

He comes back, they have a shot.

Never underestimate the importance of a steady, veteran PG who doesn't turn it over and is able to take over games, when necessary.

Was there ever any doubt...if you follow the money trail and the fact that they are the darlings of espn and ncaa this is a no brainer. The question will be if there are enough member presidents and ads in the power conferences with enough backbone to raise hell over this and demand a change

Yep, depends on Berry and Bradley returning, but remember it was after the Berry, Jackson, Pinson class that their recruiting fell off a cliff. They were lucky that Bradley and Maye both turned out to be much better than expected. I think Bradley is gone though.

If they lose one or both of those guys, I think they will be middle of the pack in ACC. Not awful, but not a Top 10 team
 
If they get the same favorable draw and accompanying help of certain refs then I am quite sure they will repeat.
The fact may be that college basketball is as rotten as UNCheat themselves.

If Jackson goes - not a chance.
Jackson, Meeks and Berry was most of their scoring. Losing 2 out of the 3 without any studs coming in to replace - Nope. Not happening
 
SBNation has some really bad writers. This guy, Alex Kirshner is one of them. Almost all of UNCheats firepower will be gone, not to mention sanctions. They have a snowballs chance.

Never saw a guy play that gets by with as much a Berry. Constantly pushes off to create space and for some reason is allowed to body up defensively down the stretch . Officials let him get extremely physical guarding the ball the entire tournament. Probably allowed them to beat Arkansas. Arkansas was lucky to get a shot off the last three minutes because of it.

They won, but it's also true that they barely won against the last three competition.

Basically in order for them to repeat, they have to get lucky again and remain just as good. Which sounds like 0 change. They are losing too much.
 
I have this sick feeling that Justin Jackson is going to come back...and Bradley, and Berry.
 
Let me say this, I think Jackson comes back too and most wont like this but if UNC doesn't win it, I'm afraid that UOFL will have a decent shot if Mitchell comes back and i also think he will our hope is that Bam comes back then we can be in the race.
 
Losing Meeks, Hicks, Britt and Jackson is too much considering they only have 1 good player coming in. Berry, Pinson, Maye, Bradley, Williams, Robinson, Woods, and a handful of nobodies does not look like a title team to me.

Hasn't Mitchell already announced and said he will hire an agent?
 
Clearly written by a UNC homer with baby-blue tinted shades on. Berry is good, but far from great, not tall not quick not great shooter. Bradley could be really good, he looked it early in the year, then Roy stunted his growth. Pinson is a nice role player. They are top 20 at best.
 
I guess the message don't under estimate the Hall of Fame Coach Roy Williams. He is looking for #4 and has a lot of people on his side. Like the NCAA, ESPN, CBS, The Refs. The list is endless.

It isn't happening, guys. It's been long enough. UNC is sacred to the NCAA apparently.
 
Possibly. Sanctions will include 3 extra scholly's, automatic entry to the Elite 8 as Higgins, Valentine and Adams call every game. 40-0. Woot.

I AGREE 100%!! UNcheats have been sacred as long as I can remember! Five decade's of the same thing of holding them ROYALTY, when it comes to college basketball!! My Dad hated them with a passion, and alway's said Dean Smith was one of the biggest cheats of all, along with John Wooden..... The ncaa will NOT DO NOTHING TO THEM AT ALL!!! [pfftt]
 
UNC not going to be that special next year. Remember, Roy needs like 5 McDonald AAs as SENIORs to win it all....the last two years UNC has had a stacked team, especially last year. Roy needs an UBER stacked team to be really good and they need to be veterans. He is a system coach and until those players can play that system in their sleep UNC struggles.

Berry is decent when he doesn't get called for pushing off which almost never gets called on him and he does almost always.................
 
UNC gets Knox and keeps Jackson and Berry around and they'll be a good team, but they're gonna miss Meeks and Hicks inside.
 
Joel Berry will have to have a Kemba Walker type run for them to have a chance, once Jackson decides to go.
 
Meeks and Jackson are two players that are almost impossible to replace.

How many times did Meeks completely change the game with a block or a key rebound. He was not overly skilled, but experienced and just a force down low. Jackson was their pure scorer, a lottery pick more than likely.

Adding in Knox would be great, but they will not be the same team by any means.
