Ulis with 27 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds.

Unfortunately, if he's there with their pick, they'll be drafting Ball. He's too good of a passer to pass him by and he's a 6-7 hybrid scoring point who can develop into a 20 ppg, 10 apg average kind of guy, regardless of the baggage. I love Ulis, but I think they draft over him.

Soon and pretty soon the nba may decide the uber athletes/ players that drag baggage are just not worth it. I think the Ole QB is finding that out (Not calling that guy out other than he doesn't have a job yet and should have according to his skill level. Not sure his promise to be good worked; after the fact.) I can only hope anyway...

Ulis looks to be coming along remarkably.

I hope that Phoenix doesn't draft Ball and goes with Josh Jackson or Jayson Tatum instead. They don't need point guards; they need small forwards.

Ulis is on a mission. No matter if Phoenix does or not Ulis WILL have a job making GOOD dough for a while. I think; Mission Accomplished....jmuo

I agree totally. Even if Phoenix drafts Ball, and Ulis ends up moving on, I can totally see him landing somewhere like Chicago or Charlotte. Hopefully Ball ends up in L.A. where he belongs.

Sorry. I wouldn't take Ball over Ulis.

Wouldn't do it. But that's my bias.

Me either. Definitely wouldn't take Ball over Fox.

Ball isn't getting that shot off in the NBA unless she's shooting wide open. Or unless he totally overhauls his form.

Phoenix has 3 pgs that are good enough to win with. I'm not even sure why they're looking to draft a pg anyway

Ball is an excellent player but he is weak on defense especially vs. quick opponents. Fox ate his lunch TWICE. What do you think will happen when he faces Irving and Wall and all the other quick guards. Phoenix has Bledsoe one of the best two way guards in the league. They should take Jackson and put him out there with Bledsoe, Booker and Chriss who like Booker is one of the youngest players in the league.

There was a lot of talk that Kobe raped someone, and they didn't stop him from playing. Baggage doesn't get a lot worse than that.
If you're good enough and you stop shy of being convicted--someone will play you.

I hope this carries over.

My concern is that the Suns are being blown out and giving him more leash. If you look at the box score, a lot of these games are blowouts. They lost last night 129-104 to the Kings. Without looking, I'm guessing he's playing a good bit against back ups. It'll be interesting to see the Phoenix mind set when they're not eliminated from Playoff contention.

That was a one-time thing with Kobe and yes it was bad but you have to remember that was a different time and the media was different AND Kobe had played a few years in the NBA at the time and was highly successful already. Before that he had no known issues. After that he has had no known issues. You are not comparing apples to apples in that case.

When you start comparing the almost daily altercations or at the least media assaults that some players have already proven to bring to the equation I am not sure any organization will stand for that long. What was that guys name Royce White or something like that, they tried to deal with that guys phobia's for a long long time and all it cost them was money and a lot of it.

Fools gold... last night was the final game to secure a LOSS and get the number 2 pick.
If you really watched the last 20 games.... hell most of the season... they were in games and their youth would show at the end... or they would get down early and make a strong comeback and make it a close game.
We Suns fans, are very happy with this team. It is realized a team this young will have struggles. Basically they have been given another pass for next year (as long as they play hard and stay in the games)

Ball might average a lot of assists but he will never be close to a 20 ppg scorer. His defense should give some teams concern about taking him so highly.

Rape, violence, drug issues, etc. aren't enough baggage to stop a good player from getting paid. But god forbid you aren't patriotically correct.

Phoenix has been grooming Ulis so that they can trade him. I would start watching the NBA (New Orleans) if Ulis went there.

Phoenix is crazy if they draft Ball. "Take the best available" can leave you like Philadelphia with more big men than you can play and nobody else to help. If Ball is there, trade down and get something additional and then draft somebody who fills a need.

76ers problem is they keep taking guys with Injury issues.

I’m just not sold on Ball being demonstrably better than Josh Jackson or Jayson Tatum. With that being the case, Phoenix should go with the position of need, which happens to be small forward. Bledsoe/Ulis have the point guard covered, and it’s not as if Bledsoe is a 32 year-old point guard. He’s 27 years-old and has been playing like a fringe all-star for a few seasons now.

I agree, and I'm not sold on Ball being the best available. Could probably make a case for any of the top 5 prospects.

He shot 25 balls, most on the team. Did he not learn anything at UK about sharing? J/K. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Which is all fine, but scoring 27 in an NBA game, against actual NBA players, still matters.

Was Ulis going against the Cavs in game 7 of the NBA finals? No. But he was playing against comparable NBA players in a league that many of our fans thought he'd never be productive in. He's proving the doubters wrong.

Think the Suns will gladly let the Lakers have Lonzo Ball. Although The Lakers pick goes to the Sixers if it's outside the top 3.

I would not touch Ball with a 10 ft pole, I just do not care for his attitude and well, there is his dad and all that baggage. Besides, Fox is better than him in my view.
