Ulis Chewing On Skal

Good. Maybe Ulis' fire will grow on him. If Skal had even half Ulis' toughness he'll be a top pick for sure.

I'm glad he is. Skal looks totally lost out there. Needs someone to wake him up, if he had it in him that is...

I realize Skal is playing his 8th college game, but damn. He looks lost and is weak when playing in the post. Giving us nothing.

It was bound to happen eventually. We've been lucky in that none of our highly rated recruits have been a bust. That's a testament to Cal's ability to identify talent and get them to play hard. I think because of the lack of competition that Skal played against it was difficult to tell that he is Charmin soft.

So weird cuz Skal looked amazing in a couple games. He's just disappeared the last couple.

Skal is not assertive and he needs to be , he wants to be a role player and not one of our top players . Hopefully it dawns on him and the light goes off but i wouldn't expect that anytime soon , maybe late in the season .

Not really. He hasn't played a full game yet. Can get away with coasting against lesser competition. When the competition gets better, it gets you embarrassed, which is what has happened to him tonight.

Skal will be fine, but he looked lost. He hacks reaches and jumps on top of guys on D. Brisco was the only one who showed up tonight.

I wonder if Coach Cal will start playing Humphries over him. Getting less than 5 rebounds per game from your center is asking to lose the game.

Rebounding is Cal's biggest pet peeve, and he ain't doing it.

Confrontation? Ulis was trying to get him to stop being a bitch

I liked it but I honestly felt bad for Skal after seeing his reaction. Most guys would have gotten mad and went back at Tyler but it looked like Skal was shocked and was thinking "why would you do that to me."

That reaction added with his play, facial expressions and just the way he carries himself shows that he's really soft and wants no part of contact. Like somebody said earlier, he looked like a baby deer out there. Just a bunch of long limbs trying to stay on his feet while not messing up.

I'm pissed at Skal but at the same time I can't help but feel sorry for him. It's almost like he's realizing this whole college thing is nothing like what he thought it would be.

He is a deer in headlights.

Considering where he was playing this time last year.

You could sure as Hell be right to the T! Sure looked just like it.

Skal has a different background than any player we've had imo. Not sure he will ever have that fire

Skal will not be what we hoped. Just not gonna happen. He is more of a project than a prospect.
Hope I'm wrong.

He said "get the board" (iow, start rebounding).

Considering they have the same reb avg this season and are 15 inches apart, Skal should listen up.

Tyler is our leader. Listen to him, kiddo.
