Id be willing to bet UK hasn't had a better assist to turnover ratio v a top 10 team in its history.

That stat is a microcosm of the 6-1 start UK has had.

A team full of freshman five stars and other very talented players playing for each other while valuing each possession.

Cal doesn't get the credit he deserves for this.

Its his greatest coaching ability and a big reason why these guys are probably going on the way.

Almost correct. The only two other times UK had a better Assist to TO ratio against a ranked team was 21-MAR-1996 versus #10 ranked Utah (24 Assists to 6 Turnover for a ratio of 4) and 13-JAN-1998 vs. #14 South Carolina (25 assists to 7 turnovers for a ratio of 3.57).

The game vs. #8 ranked Miami they had 26 assists and 8 turnover for a ratio of 3.25.

So the 1996 Utah game they had a higher A:TO ratio against top-10 team.

Thanks Jon. So v a #8 or higher opponent its the highest ever A/T ratio, thus one could argue, especially with the closeness of the numbers you listed, as the best A/T ratio UK has ever had in a single game considering the ranked competition.
Both those teams you listed won the NCAAs.
