What is going on with all of the transfers from the Women's team? Anyone know any inside info concerning this? I was surprised to hear about Goodin-Rogers leaving this week.

Looks like she just wasn't getting much playing time. I think some of the newer players have come in and are playing a lot more and that likely hasn't set well with her. Kentucky has a style that probably does not fit everyone. It's why I think UK won't have a lot of bigs that can fit their game and I think it limits their advancement in the NCAAT.

When it comes to women's sports the reasons for people leaving or giving up the game usually are personal ones vs being disgruntled.

It happens more often then in the men's programs. I would not read to much into it.

Once is happenstance .. twice is circumstance. And it's been way more than twice this year.

Yep, definitely seems like something is going on as this has just been way too many women leaving the program to be something that just happens more often than in a men's program.

Was at the game last night at NKU. It was nip and tuck for most of the game until we pulled away at the end. Weird seeing a team with only 9 players.

They've made several elite eights which is pretty impressive given where this program was when Mitchell took over. I think their lack of Final Fours has come from the fact that there is an upper echelon of women's teams that are far superior than the others from a size and talent standpoint. UK is on the second tier and has been recruiting really well but these transfers are worrisome.

I agree with you 100%. I have always thought Mitchell could be that coach that breaks through with his recruiting and puts Kentucky up in that tier 1 schools in talent, but with all these latest transfers, it's going to make that job that much harder. The women's program gets pretty good talent, but not enough to beat the Uconns and the Vols type of programs. It would take some great coaching to beat those type of programs with the talent advantage they have on everyone else.

I was actually thinking the same thing. We're in a mist of an exodus. I'm also curious on why.

And these transfers are not end of the bench type players. Surprised no one has asked Mitchell about this yet

A few of them are end of the bench type players. They just beat a team 92-27. Until they start falling apart, I'm going to think they are getting recruited over, not getting PT or whatever else. Their record does not indicate any sort of turmoil, that's for sure.

The team has been in UConn's region several times if I remember correctly. No one is coming out of that region except the huskies.
