Some quotes and video of UK coach Nick Mingione in this story. Indiana is the two seed in UK's region, NC State the three seed. Hoping to know by Thursday who UK will go with on the mound.
I'll work on team breakdowns tonight and post tomorrow.Could you give any insight into Ohio or will that come later this week?
DT...does the host schools control the sell of the ticket allotments or the NCAA? Somebody said on here earlier that otis was already selling tickets to their fans for the super...can they do that without opening it up to the general public? Seems totally unfair!!LINK

Interesting.. let me look into that and get back to you.DT...does the host schools control the sell of the ticket allotments or the NCAA? Sure you are right CB3, but what about the unsold or the tickets for the general public...is not fair if otis is allowed to offer them to only their fan base before public sale!!I feel like each team is given an allotment to sell, but I could be wrong.
Here's a story breaking down the other teams in the Lexington Regional.Could you give any insight into Ohio or will that come later this week?
I live in Indy and hear IU guys talk smack about beating us. Ha! They have to get past NC State first, which will be no easy task. I will be at the Cliff this weekend, and when IU is playing NC State, I'll be cheering for the Wolfpack!
I completely understand, though I think the Wolfpack is far more dangerous team for UK to play (If I recall, NC State was a preseason top 20 team that was projected to battle UL and FSU for the atlantic division of the ACC). They seem to have gotten their act together just in time to make the tourney, so I'm not sure that I want to see them in the finals on Sunday or Monday

I hear you, maybe I'll tone it down a little. After all, we have to keep our eyes on the prize!
Talked to a friend of mine this morning who has some connections at Otis and evidently they are already selling tickets to the super and they are saving the vast majority of tickets for boosters and season ticket holders of all the sports...so I'm guessing that should we get out of the regional that tickets will be hard too come by for CAT fans wishing to attend...
Yes, if we win our regional, and UofL were to lose theirs ( unlikely ), we would host a Super Regional.I wasn't too sure how this worked, so I did a little research over the weekend. You actually have to win your regional to host. As recently as 2014 (see link), you had 5 of 8 national seeds that failed to win their regionals and in two cases, one of the #2 seeds was the host of super regional. So that means if uavel doesn't win out, we host the super, and if we don't win out, well then I guess it's a crap shoot.
Fingers crossedYes, if we win our regional, and UofL were to lose theirs ( unlikely ), we would host a Super Regional.
