The Cats (22-11), take on the Skyhawks (12-16), tonight @ 6:30 at the Cliff in a midweek home game. UK coming off a series loss vs Miss. State, meet UTM coming off a series sweep of red hot Morehead State, winning the 3 games by scores of 1-0, 9-5, and 18-6. Morehead was 8-1 in the OVC, before running into UTM on the road.
The Cats will probably send Freshman lefty Zack Thompson to the mound, looking to regain his early season form after a series of rough starts here lately. The Cats do not need to lose a midweek home game, before heading to Columbia to take on a solid Mizzou squad this weekend.

Thompson just needs to cut down on the walks and he will be fine. I think he will get there. Looks to be a stud in the making.

Mizzou, our weekend opponent, defeats Ark. Pine-Bluff by a 15-6 score tonight. Looks like their bats are coming back around.
