Cats open up play in Port Charlotte against UNO @ 10:30 am. Probable starter for UK is Dustin Beggs, who is 1-1 on the season.

Henderson just can't manage baseball. I may be wrong, but this may be a long baseball season.

6 consecutive 2-out singles...WOW

Clutch hitting - I don't know if any pitching changes, mound visits etc were made during this streak to try and break it up...but that's rough.

This is an unimpressive Omaha team, and yet they are taking us to extras. Not good. Not good at all.

Somewhat agree, they have lost to St. Leos, and Bradley. But won at Wichita State. UK just needs to play, and get in as many games as possible to get up to snuff.

A game like this doesn't really concern me, because they happen all the time...lesser talented teams can play with the big boys if they get a few breaks.

What does concern me is just our team in general....I think it'll be a struggle this season.

Going really deep into this game.

By the way, was our starter still in when Omaha scored most of their runs? What inning was it?

Dwyer now struggling. Walked the first two hitters in the top of the 14th. They have an excellent chance at getting a run here with the top of the lineup at the plate.

Not a huge fan of walking the bases loaded and putting another runner in scoring position. It worked out thanks to a great play by storm Wilson to throw out the tagging runner at home.

8th i believe..beggs hit his pitch count and then salow and jack combined to give up 4 runs.
beggs had a great outing.

Thanks Jackson. Wasn't sure if Henderson left Beggs in too long or someone else struggled.

Cats got the win thanks to two infield singles and a wild pitch. Bernal got an rbi single to third to plate Wilson

Cats win 6-5 in 14 innings, Storm Wilson with a great throw to the plate to get the runner in the top of the 14th, then scores the winning run in the bottom of the inning. Andrew Nelson throws 1 pitch, gets a double play, and is the winning pitcher !

ingram tweeted that beggs simply hit his pitch count. seemed like he was rolling up until that point.
I gotcha. I just didn't hear who had given up the runs. I didn't know if Henderson had left Beggs in too long and he gave up the runs, or if it was after Beggs went out. Glad to hear that it was after Beggs went out and that he had a good long outing. That will definitely be big in the future. Hopefully, the Cats bullpen won't struggle like that in the future though.
