If you watch Stoops on the sidelines, he always looks scared to death in these type games.Van does a great job on these. And I think he touched on something very important: we played and coached scared. We pissed down our leg as a program and I'm not good with that. Stoops is going to have to be willing to risk it all in these games. No half-assed play to keep it close stuff.
And makes absolutely no sense. Why not go out throw caution into the wind and let it all hang out. Does he think it could be worse than 51-13. Stoops has been great for out program but man he sure is a pu**y!!!!If you watch Stoops on the sidelines, he always looks scared to death in these type games.
Van Hiles . Played defensive back for UK and in the NFL with the Bears.Who is the guy doing there Vid's ?

The team plays like their coach. Stoops saying that about NIL tells me all I need to know. Stoops goes into these games KNOWING, and probably telling this team. ''We will probably lose but just try your best''. He coaches and has a mindset of being scared against these big teams. And it rubs off on the team. Saban is fearless, and coaches pissed off. And his team usually plays like that. And if they don't he gets into them until they do.Going to take another Art Still type of team to break through. That team had no fear that we was playing a Georgia or whoever. Never went into a game thinking that 'maybe we can pull it out if we don't make mistakes.' Just came in knowing they was going to beat the crap out of you on both sides of the ball. Thought this team might have a little of that type of confidence in them but obviously not near as 'bad men' as we thought.
It wouldn't be near as bad had we come out throwing haymakers on both sides of the ball and playing as the aggressor. But to come out like a bunch of scared children is pretty embarrassing. Suppose we can expect the same against Alabama, just because they are Alabama.
The Childress signing still has me scratching my head. Total WTF by Stoops there.Disagree. You were looking at a coach that was extremely frustrated at a handful of player that were completely blowing the opportunity for everyone.
My only complaint with the coaching this game was the failure to sit some guys after it was obvious their head wasn't in the game. Especially jager and childress. Those two guys were almost exclusively responsible for the immediate giant deficit that never gave us a chance.
I havent had the chance yet to watch his Georgia breakdown beyond his opening narrative and chat, but I wish everyone would watch these. It would enhance people's understanding so much more. They'd see exactly how piss poor our wrs are (especially brown) and how we definitely don't play soft coverage
Zion is way to aggressive to play safety....he's been very bad in pass....he's solid tackler but way out of his zone on coverage a ton. I don't know if Buffano is coaching this up....but Zion was like a dude running all over the place and not too much to his assigned area. That looked like middle school stuff and shocked to see.Disagree.
