Cats and Flyers are in a rain delay with UK leading 4-0 in the top of the 3rd. Shelby with a solo homer, White led off game with a double and scored. Cats with a run in the 1st and 3 in the 2nd inning.
I think when Dayton closed the gap, Hendo saw that they need the win. Today's game is in jeopardy of being played due to storms. Logue is scheduled to start, Cats used Pop, Strecker, Lewis, Salow and Hjellie. What thoughts do you guys have on throwing Lewis and Strecker in this game? Ideally you'd see a midweek game like this, against a 14-2 team I'd like to see some guys that don't pitch very often. Develop the roster and get some guys ready for next year or whatever. I know we need the game and the rain nasser it weird but I hope to see that approach tomorrow.

Yeah I see your point. If they do play today, probably only Hjellie would be used. I guess Logue, Dwyer, Wilson, and Schaenzer would be available. Miami is a better team than Dayton, so if they do play, it could get interesting.Well, not really. UK was leading 4-0 when they went to the first break. At that point we had to go to a new pitcher because of the break. Henderson then decided to pitch Strecker. I would have rather seen some other pitchers go right there. Strecker then pitched 2 innings before, I think, there was another break. He then brought in Lewis and it was Lewis that struggled. I don't mind Lewis as much because he's struggled some, but I would much rather have seen Strecker and Lewis stick to the weekend. We could throw Salow and Tillo and Dwyer, and Schaenzer and Smith. Guys that haven't worked and aren't as necessary on the weekend. Seems to me that Henderson is falling back on relying on 2-3 guys like he normally does rather than developing his entire bullpen. That being said, it very well could be that the rain changed his plans. I don't know.
