First the bad:
The refs were ABOMINABLE. But I repeat myself.
The wave off of the high five by Edwards to DJ was troubling. And DJ clearly didn't like it b/c he had his hand up for several seconds. I wonder if the guys are irritated with DJ not playing or something. Maybe it was inadvertent. Will the media ask about it? Nah.
Now the good:
Seems like everybody played well tonight except for Ugo "Hands of Stone" Onyenso.
Rob and Reeves glittered. Reed played solid and even turned in 5 steals. Don't tell me that he doesn't try on defense.
Edwards had a nice game and a dunk that, if performed in Rupp, would have brought the house down.
Smoochy and Big Z filled the stat sheet. Big Z's passing is something to behold and his putbacks were timely. He had some foul trouble but that's something he can figure out. He only had 1 foul in the second half until 3 minutes to go, so he clearly settled down. It was good to see him play regular minutes for the first time and he seemed to get into the flow of things.
Burks clearly needs more time on the floor. With Z's and Shep's passing, he could be a dagger guy.
