Agree to disagree. I want UofL and IU on the schedule every year. It's fun. I don't care if there's "better" teams out there. A game against UofL or IU has that 'it' factor that a game against a Houston or a 'whoever is good right now' ever will. Give me the rivalries every year. We've already lost too much of college basketball as it is. Maintain something that made it fun and special.Man this is usually played in December…. I’d be alright if we never played them again and if we would’ve never started the stupid IU series back up! There are better teams out there to play!
100% I grew up going to the Kentucky Indiana games in freedom Hall and the RCA dome and I loved how the crowds were split 50/50. I know it's not Indiana's old with bob Knight but still I think we should play them. I also realize what happened in 2011 when we played there but that was 13 years ago so let's make it neutral site games so that kind of BS doesn't happen again.Agree to disagree. As for the OP, a Tuesday night, Veteran's Day game?? Would like to know the reasons behind this, cause it's putting a great rivalry in a shadow, IMO. I don't like it, at all. This game deserves better!
We probably have two mid majors before UL. Season will start the 4th and MSU is the 18th.3 of our first four games are gonna be against really good teams. Purdue exhibition, a mid major, Michigan state, and then Louisville
That's exactly what it is. The Campions classic will be the following Tuesday when we face Michigan St.Strange night to have a game like that.
Must be a ESPN prime time for money game.
Good catch.Waiting for all the Chicken Littles to notice that it’s Brandon Garrison in the photo and not Oweh, which they will interpret as Oweh is definitely gone. LOL!
It may have something to do with the Indiana game. My guess is they want to build that rivalry back up and didn’t want to have 2 rivalry games so close together. That game is tentatively scheduled for Dec 13th at Rupp.Yeah not a fan of this.
Tuesday night game in early November? Just doesn't make sense.
Would have made more sense for the IU game to happen November 11th and the UL game to happen on that Saturday in December.
And JQ might not be fully back by then either.
Even more glad now for the Purdue exhibition game. That will help get us ready- UL and Michigan State in the first 10 days of the season.
Says who?And most likely no JQ. Tough timing.
IMHO, Pope will hold JQ no matter what his condition is, just to early to risk it. UL is already overrated, we beat them by double digits.Says who?
It got lost nationally cause it's a rivalry in name only. It's been one-sided as we beat them WAY more than they beat us.Not sure a Tuesday night in November was the answer but the game had gotten totally lost nationally end of December on a Saturday with bowl games/NFL/holidays.
At least no competition that night from CFB or NFL.
Didnt know MSU was that late. I still just find them putting the Louisville game this early is still very weirdWe probably have two mid majors before UL. Season will start the 4th and MSU is the 18th.
And they haven’t been very good for the last part.It got lost nationally cause it's a rivalry in name only. It's been one-sided as we beat them WAY more than they beat us.
Nah. I like my college basketball rivalries to be during when the season is rolling. Gives both teams a chance to be decently prepped. Makes for a better game. This is just a stupid decision. Some of y’all probably b**ch when you wake up in the morning and notice that the Sun is shining!
It’s a CBB game for G sakes! Pipe down🤣
Meh, UofL shouldn't be allowed to play UK, they are a cesspool of a program.
But also, the champions classic is played on a Tuesday night too and the ratings are usually through the roof for that event, so I don't see a problem with this tbh.
So nobody is saying that.IMHO, Pope will hold JQ no matter what his condition is, just to early to risk it. UL is already overrated, we beat them by double digits.
I heard both schools wanted to get it away from the HolidaysI liked it n December around Xmas myself.
It’s a discussion board. You will read very few absolutes here. That said, I doubt JQ plays November 11.So nobody is saying that.

You got that right. LolWaiting for all the Chicken Littles to notice that it’s Brandon Garrison in the photo and not Oweh, which they will interpret as Oweh is definitely gone. LOL!
