No lights at MSU's stadium, also Brooks stadium seats 1,200. Racers park seats 500 I believe. Why Paducah? Murray normally plays on campus.
Was it a pretty good sized crowd ? I know the weather was tough.Went to the game. Nasty evening. Hairston hit an absolute Lazer to center!
Great post, I was likewise following the game tracker on the MSU site. I did switch over to UK and Neil Price the last 2 innings. Agree we should be 5, 6 wins more this season at least.I start the beginning of the year listening to every game. Sometimes I watch them, but I like to hear Price and don't like to be tied to the tv. Still, point is that I am extremely interested in the games. However, as the season goes on and as the team struggles my interest fades due to the frustration. Last night I had the game tracker on, but I wasn't listening to the game or really even following along, just going back to check it.
In terms of Henderson and his success... it is not a product of his ability to coach. It is a product of Madison being here for almost a quarter of a century and having little to no support to work with. Not to mention that college baseball has enjoyed a lot more parity in the past 10 years thanks to the new rule where every team starts the season at the same time. Madison did all right for the hand he was dealt, but if we're honest, the results were less than mediocre. We averaged 29 wins with Madison over the course of his career, but that doesn't mean that it was great. Especially considering we went to just 2 NCAA tournaments. Henderson is averaging just 3 more wins than Madison each year. Madison was .535 over the years and Henderson is just .568 with an overall record of 256 wins and 194 losses. If you take out the anomaly year where he won 71 percent of his games then his record drops to .545.
I hate when people (not you guys) act like we're doing well in baseball when all they are really doing is trying to sell us crap by telling us the crap isn't as bad as it used to be. It is still crap! I love baseball, and I love Kentucky... I want nothing more than Kentucky to have a damn good baseball team, and I absolutely hate that it is allowed to wallow in mediocrity.
Right now the CATS sit at ninth in the league and play Missouri this weekend...unless they sweep--which I don't expect, and honestly wouldn't be at all surprised to see them lose the series--they will have lost the series against 3 of the four worst teams in the conference. Along with losing to every instate school but Murray, I don't see a path for making the ncaa tourney. The talk is they need 16 conference wins to get in which means they need to sweep the Tigers unless they do well in the sec tourney and I don't know how much those count...one way or the other if the new stadium(?????) is going to be started this summer or fall sometime, I think it would bethe perfect time to start fresh with a new face in the dugout. New stadium and playing in the sec should be a great drawing card.Great post, I was likewise following the game tracker on the MSU site. I did switch over to UK and Neil Price the last 2 innings. Do not know if we fail to reach the Ncaa tourney, that Mitch will let Henderson go. If we do make the Ncaa party, he certainly will not. I always want the Cats to win, and share in the frustration of blowing games we should win !
So you'd agree it's a waste if they don't even make the NCAA Tournament?Henderson will not be fired. He is no John Cohen but has done a good enough job in my opinion. I wish all the negative comments would stop and just support the Cats. They have enough starting pitchers to win a NCAA Regional.

You can't be serious on GH or winning a regional , my guess is they aren't even going make it.Henderson will not be fired. He is no John Cohen but has done a good enough job in my opinion. Henderson has one year on his contract... convince me he should get an extension. Show me the body of work that he has compiled that impresses you so much that you believe he's done "good enough." Sell me the product and if you can do so then I might not be as negative, but from the body of work that I have seen, not to mention the game management, I don't know how you're going to be able to justify giving him a contract extension.

You're also the ONLY person I've seen who thinks we have decent pitching. If we had good pitching we wouldn't have lost all of those terrible midweek games. You've been making idiotic posts for years and it's obvious nothing has changed.Henderson will not be fired. He is no John Cohen but has done a good enough job in my opinion.
