UK Has 2016 Top 10 Recruiting Class Right Now

Good start but UK will need more 4 stars to maintain that ranking. Really need some top DLs.

Young, Gilliam, Walder, and Robinson will all be four star or near four star players if they camp. They all have four star talent. Our class should be rated better than it is right now

I think Rivals had UK in 10th place a few days ago before some of the latest commits. 247 says that number one Miami has thirteen commits to UK's eight, a huge advantage at this point.

If you remember UK started the 14 class off in the top ten and stayed there a long time, which added a lot of momentum to recruiting, while the 15 class started off with a couple of 5.5 OL (very good prospects) which hurt our ranking at the start and we never did get that high after that. Then the de-commits hit.

The 16 class is off to a great start and should really take off when we win some games.

If I recall correctly, UK had a top five rating early last year. I could be thinking of two years ago, but I know we were close to #1 if not #1 for like a week.

in 14 class UK had the #1 spot for about a week! if Drake can pull in some of those highly touted lineman hat hes buddy buddy with we may be #1 for more than a week this time! i believe he has 2 5* Oline buddies and a high 4* that would be ridiculous! if we win 7 games this year this class will explode! in a good way that is! imagine if we ad Kendall too!

After this years commitment exodus, can you really be excited about a recruiting class until they actually SIGN?

Yes you can, unless you are just happy being negative.

It's a meaningless number at this stage, but it is good that the staff has gotten a big head start on 2016. That will give them more time to focus on the remainder.

What makes you think you don't have to focus on the ones you have?

The whole situation reminds me of a bull elk needing to keep his eye on the ones in his herd as much as wanting to seek out more for the herd.

Hopefully we start getting some feedback and commitments from the 4-star guys early to establish this class even farther!

FSU is about to start a recruiting streak that may top anything we have seen. There is a private HS in Florida called IMG Academy that is basically an extension of FSU, they have had several 5* and high 4* kids transfer in this year, all of them heavy FSU leans or commits already. Its run by Chris Weinke, former Heisman winner at FSU and is nothing more than a feeder system for FSU. A kid from Georgia recently transferred to there, and yes he is a FSU commit. I know this is OT, but it will be frustrating to see how many kids they get from that one school, all they want I would guess.

3 of the top 10 kids next year all attend that school and 1 more in the top 35, all heavy leans to FSU.

Extremely important --- it looks like the '16 class is going to be stronger at the core/foundation. Think it will hold together like '14
