Very unfortunate and sad and frankly I'm surprised there haven't been more serious upper Rupp accidents.
I took our son to wrestling at the Yum center a few months back. Last minute thing, so we were up top.
Honestly, the Yum center, and all these new arenas, are scary as hell at the top. They're steep and so closed in, you barely can put your foot on the steps
I realize what you guys are saying but he was just in the 10th row up. My season seats are way higher than where he was and I never feel unsafe or like something bad could happen at any moment. Things happen sometimes and that's all I see it as. He made a move to save his wife from falling on the steps as she tripped and lost his balance. Any of us could also lose our lives crossing High St. in front of Rupp before or after the game. Not trying to say it's not tight in those seats, because it is, but I never go to a game and feel like I'm going to tumble down the rows of seats in front of me. Not being insensitive to this man either as I felt bad for him and his family after hearing about it and am very saddened to hear that he has now passed away. Sometimes things just happen in life that we can't control.
